In a desperate need of a phone ?? Have a budget of around 25000 and can’t decide which one to buy we have made a list of Best Smartphone Under 25000 in Nepal. After reading this post you will have a clearer picture. In previous posts, we discussed best smartphones under 10000, 15000, and 20000 and in this post, we will be talking about Rs. 25,000.
Best Smartphone Under 25000 in Nepal
- OPPO A5 2020
- Nokia 7.2
- Realme 5
- Mi A3
- Redmi Note 8
- Samsung M30s
5. OPPO A5 2020
Starting off the list is OPPO A5 2020. OPPO smartphones are relatively getting good responses from the Nepali customers and these Chinese smartphone makers have been known for their camera and like all other OPPOs, this is not an exception. Housing a decent Snapdragon 665 under the hood coupled with either 3/4 GB of RAM with 64/128 GB internal storage respectively. On the front, it houses a 6.5 inch HD+ LCD display with a teardrop notch and a decent 8MP camera inside it.
If you are explaining an OPPO phone and not talk about their cameras then you definitely don’t know OPPO. This phone also has some decent shooters as this device comes with a quad-camera setup on the back having a 12 MP main shooter, an 8MP wide-angle, a 2 MP macro and a 2 MP depth sensor. Not only cameras this time OPPO has turned heads around due to its massive 5000mAh battery that is capable of reverse charging as well.
The 4/128 GB variant seems a bit overpriced and the 3/64 GB variant will cost you around Rs. 23,000. Looking at the price it seems a bit overpriced for the offered specs out of the box but for the camera and its processor capabilities this device deserves our no. 5 spot.

4. Nokia 7.2
Didn’t quite expect to see Nokia up high in this list?? Well, Nokia rightfully deserves the no. 4 spot in our list just for the fact that it has android one operating in this device. Nokia launched this device at just 23,999 NPR whereas this was launched in European soil for about 300 Euros. Powering up the device is a mediocre chipset the Snapdragon 660 which feels slightly underpowered to the likes of SD 665, SD 675. And the device has 4 GB of RAM with 64 GBs of internal storage.
Display-wise, the phone houses 6.3 inch FHD+ IPS LCD that supports HDR content. Multimedia freaks should definitely get this phone as it can be a great experience. Coming to design Nokia 7.2 is a beautiful looking device having a premium touch. It has a rear triple camera setup and somewhat similar to the likes of Motorola phones. Nonetheless, the primary shooter is a 48 MP lens with and 8 MP ultra-wide sensor and a 5 MP depth sensor. A 20 MP shooter is on the front inside the teardrop notch for your selfies.
We being a big fan of stock android and due to the “Android One” program on Nokia 7.2, this device delivers stock feel to the customers at a budget price.

3. Realme 5
Being a sub-brand of Oppo, Realme 5 is exactly the same phone as the A5 2020 just under Realme branding and a different camera location. Realme has gone with a different design code as well which it calls “Crystal Design”.
It also houses the similar decent Snapdragon 665 under the hood coupled with either 3 or 4 GB of RAM with 64 or 128 GB internal storage. On the front, it houses a 6.5 inch HD+ LCD display with a teardrop notch and a decent 8MP camera inside it. This device also comes with a quad-camera setup on the back having a 12 MP main shooter, an 8MP wide-angle, a 2 MP macro and a 2 MP depth sensor. Not only cameras this time OPPO has turned heads around due to its massive 5000mAh battery.
If you want to buy this device this can cost you Rs. 23,000 for the 4/128 GB version and the lower variant will cost you as much as the Realme 5i.

2. Mi A3
Coming second in the list is another one from the Android One Program, the third-gen from the A series of Xiaomi. The A-series is the talk of the town as being from the house of MI this phone provides a stock look and feel to the UI.
To be honest I am a bit disappointed with the fact that it has somewhat downgraded from its second-gen device as it has cut the FHD+ feature though it features a 6.01 HD+ Super AMOLED display. The display looks and feels great but just the fact it is not a full HD device can be a deal-breaker for the techie’s heads. Otherwise, it is an excellent looking and performing phone. Under the hood, it houses the common Snapdragon 665 and in the memory front, it has 4/6 GB option for RAM and 64/128 GB of internal storage. Juicing the device is a 4030 mAh with an 18 W fast charging support.
The most key feature in the device is an in-display fingerprint scanner, being the only device to do so in this segment. Camera-wise, the device packs a triple camera setup in the back which comprises of 48 MP main lens, an 8MP wide-angle lens and a 2 MP depth sensor. For selfies you Mi A3 comes with a 32 MP shooter inside the waterdrop notch.

1. Samsung M30s and Redmi Note 8 (Again)
Yes, it is a tie. Samsung has definitely surprised us in the budget segment past few years and under Rs. 25,000 it is notably a winner and with the device, the crown is shared by the Redmi Note 8 which is described in our earlier post Phones under 20000 in Nepal. So we decided to skip the Note 8 description because just the storage is different as Redmi Note 8 comes with a 6/128 GB variant for the price Rs. 24,000.

Speaking about the other winner, the Samsung M30s, this device just deserves the money for its most notable feature, its humongous battery. This device packs massive 6000 mAh battery under its hood which will give you 2 days easily with moderate usage. Why would you buy a Samsung phone?? The answer will be the display of course and this phone is no different as it packs 6.4 inches Super AMOLED display. Though this has an impressive display I am not a fan of the cheap-feeling galstic from Samsung. The massive battery makes the phone bulky but powering the device is the homegrown Exynos 9611 from Samsung so the performance is fairly smooth.
Camera-wise, the phone packs a triple camera setup, the primary shooter being a 48 MP lens comprised with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 5 MP depth sensor. On the front, it features a 16 MP shooter inside the notch for selfies and face recognition.
If you want Samsung M30s then 4/64 GB variant will cost you Rs. 25,000 whereas if you want the 6 GB variant you have to pay around Rs. 3,000 more. Considering everything can M30s be the Best Smartphone Under 25000 in Nepal?

Redmi Note 7 Pro (Honorable Mention)
Talking about the budget king of 2019, Redmi Note 7 Pro is one the most popular phones in the Nepali phone market and ticks all the box for being the top-notch phone for under 25000 but the fact that it has a new-gen available on the market this phone gets the honourable mention.
Note 7 Pro is a stellar phone as Snapdragon 675 powers up the device whereas most phones in the list still have SD665 which is already awesome. Even in the camera department, the phone has a strong camera on paper. This device has a dual-camera setup the primary being a 48 MP Sony IMX sensor coupled with a 5 MP depth sensor. For your selfies, it packs a 13 MP shooter inside the U shaped notch and on the display front this phone comes a 6.3 inch FHD+ LCD display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and the back. A 4000 mAh battery juices up the device that supports 18 W of fast charging.
Under Rs. 25,000 you can purchase a 6/64 GB variant which is still an excellent choice as it still outperforms newer devices in the list.
