Huawei has dropped the price of the Huawei Band 6 after almost a year of its launch time. The price cut tends to reach around Rs. 3,000 since the old price was NPR 9,490 and the new price is NPR 6,990. Huawei Band 6 Overview
Design
Huawei Band 6 is a fitness band that has a very different design than the other general fitness bands in the present market. This is mainly because of the 1.47-inch FullView AMOLED display which is the same size as the smartwatches these days. It has a 148% larger viewing area and 42% more screen-to-body ratio in comparison to the Huawei Band 4 Pro.
The display boasts 194×368-pixels resolution and 282-pixel density. You can see the 4-way touchscreen controls in the band as well. Likewise, you can also use your Watch faces on the band from the Huawei Watch Store. The buttons are also moved on the right side since it has the FullView display.
Moreover, the body weighs 18 grams without the straps and measures 43×25.4×11.45mm in dimension. It is also 5ATM rated against minor water and splash damage. The silicone here is treated for UV rays which means it will not bring any discomfort to your skin. Further, it is available in three color configurations – Forest Green, Amber Sunrise, and Graphite Black.
Health and Fitness Tracking
The Huawei Band 6 has TrueSeen 4.0-based heart monitoring optical sensor and keeps your heart rate checked for 24-hours. It also takes some help from the AI algorithms. This means you can get an alert if your heart rate is below or above normal levels. Likewise, it has 24-hour Blood Oxygen (SpO2) monitor which will also warn you if you have high/low SpO2 levels.
Furthermore, you can see the TruSleep 2.0-based sleep tracking system in the band which will monitor your deep sleep, light sleep, REM sleep, and short naps. It can identify six major sleep problems and then provide you with more than 200 suggestions to improve your sleep quality. Moreover, the other features include stress monitoring, menstrual cycle tracking, pedometer, sedentary reminder, and some activity tracking. There are over 96 exercise modes including some standard ones like running and swimming.
Connectivity and Compatibility
For Connectivity, the Huawei Band 6 has Bluetooth 5.0 which helps your device stay connected to your device. You can check your data via Huawei Health app which can be downloaded on a device with Android 6.0 or iOS 9.0 or above. Unfortunately, if you are using iOS devices, you will lack some of the features. For example, you can have the music controls if and only if you are paired to an Android device. Moreover, some features of the band will require you to run the EMUI properly to have their usage. The remote camera shutter is also exclusive to the devices with EMUI 8.1 or above.
Rest of the specs
We don’t know the battery capacity of the band, but it might be the 180mAh battery we previously saw in Honor Band 6. You can have 14 days of battery life in moderate use and around 10 days if heavy usage is done. You can have 2 days’ worth of battery with only 5 minutes if charging. The charging here is done via the magnetic pin charger which is very efficient.
Lastly, you can check your latest notifications, weather updates, messages, and incoming calls via the band.
