With the flagship 9 and 9 Pro, iQOO; the sub-brand of Vivo has launched another smartphone – iQOO 9 SE. The phone has already started sale in the Indian market. Here, we will discuss the specs, features, availability, and the expected price of iQOO 9 SE in Nepal.
iQOO 9 SE Overview
Design and Display
Beginning with the design, there is a rectangular camera setup at the back panel of iQOO 9 SE. The body measures 8.4mm in thickness and is also resistant to minor splashes and dust. It is safe to say that it resembles iQOO 9 more than it does to the 9 Pro. There are two color variations available – Space Fusion and Sunset Sierra.
9 SE brings a 6.62-inch AMOLED display with 1080×2400-pixels resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The screen-to-body ratio and aspect ratio here measures 84.9% and 20:9 respectively. Above the screen, there is a center punch-hole cutout that holds the front-facing camera. The most interesting part of the display is that it is protected by Panda Glass which is rarely used in smartphones these days.
Performance and Memory
iQOO 9 SE is powered up with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G processor based on a 5nm manufacturing process. The chipset comes with an Adreno 660 graphics processor coupled with an octa-core CPU with Kryo 680 cores clocked at the maximum speed of 2.85GHz. The system here boots on Android 12 on top of Funtouch 12.
There are two memory configurations for the model – 8/128GB and 12/256GB of UFS 3.1. Unfortunately, you can no longer expand your internal storage because there is no microSD card slot on the device.
Camera and Audio
Over to the optics, there is a triple camera setup in the rectangular module mentioned earlier. The lead sensor here is a 48MP lens with an f/1.8 aperture and 0.8-microns pixel capacity alongside PDAF and OIS support. Like the high-end models, it also has a 13MP ultrawide sensor with a 120-degree field of view. Further, the setup is completed by a 2MP camera for portrait shots. The module also holds a Dual-LED dual-tone flash for better night shots. They can also record the videos up to 4K resolution at 30 frames per second.
Upfront, there is a 16MP selfie snapper with an f/2.0 aperture. Here, the video limits up to 1080p at 30fps. Over to the audio front, there is a loudspeaker system with stereo speakers. However, we are yet to be confirmed if it retains the 3.5mm headphone jack.
Rest of the specs
Fueling the iQOO 9 SE is a medium Li-Po 4,500mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. The brand claims to charge 0-70% in just 18 minutes. For biometrics, there is an under-display fingerprint sensor coupled with a software-based face unlock.
Other sensors here include an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass. Moreover, there are connectivity options that can be listed out as Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS (A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS), and USB Type-C 2.0.
