Nokia G21 Price in nepal

Nokia unveiled its first smartphone in 2022 in Nepal. The phone is named Nokia G21 and it succeeds last year’s Nokia G20 which already sells in Nepal under NPR 20,000. The new G21 is also a budget smartphone. Here, we will dig into the specs, features, availability, and the expected price of the Nokia G21 in Nepal.

Nokia G21 Overview

Display and Design

Nokia G21 flaunts a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel with an HD resolution of 1600×720-pixel capacity. It also boasts a flexible refresh rate of 90Hz which means you can switch back to 60Hz anytime you like. The pixel density here measures 270 alongside an aspect ratio of 20:9. The phone even has 400nits of typical brightness. Further, there is good support for HD playback to watch Netflix.

The phone weighs 190 grams while embedding the dimension of 164.6×75.9×8.5mm. The body is made up of glass at the front while the frame and the back are plastic-built. Nokia has gone with a rectangular camera bump on the phone instead of the circular one. There are two color options available – Nordic Blue and Dusk.

Performance and Memory

Powering the device is a Unisoc T606 chipset based on a 12nm manufacturing process. It integrates an octa-core CPU with two Cortex-A75 and six Cortex-A55 cores among which, all are clocked at the speed of 1.6GHz. Likewise, the graphics are handled by Arm’s Mali-G57 MP1 processor.

As per memory, there are three different configurations – 3/64GB, 4/64GB, and 4/128GB of eMMC 5.1. You can also expand your internal memory with the help of a dedicated microSD card slot.

On the software front, the handset boots on Android 11. Nokia also promises two major Android updates alongside three years of security patches. Moreover, you can have 30 days free trial of Express VPN on the phone. Also, the software-based face unlock can recognize you with a mask as well.

Camera

Under the hood, there is a triple camera setup on the rectangular module lying on the back of the Nokia G21. This is a little downgrade from the quad-camera setup in the Nokia G20. It has a 50MP primary lens with PDAF support, an upgrade to G20 with a 48MP sensor. Others are two 2MP cameras for macro and depth shots respectively. The lens missing in the G21 from G20 is an ultrawide one. The module also holds a LED flash to take better night shots. Nokia also claims to have better details on night shots because of the Super-Resolution Mode.

Upfront, there is an 8MP snapper for better selfies and video calls. Both rear and front cameras can record 1080p videos at the rate of 30 frames per second. Moving on, there is a loudspeaker system and the model even supports a 3.5mm headphone jack for music.

Battery and Extras

Fueling the model is a massive 5,050mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. However, there is a 10W adapter in the box. Nokia claims to have two stages on the battery saving mode where the first one starts at 20%. There have also been rumors that say the battery life is three full days on medium usage.

For biometrics, there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and software-based face unlocks mentioned earlier. Other sensors include an accelerometer and proximity. Furthermore, there are connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS (A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO), region-dependent NFC, and USB Type-C 2.0 port.
