Black Shark has always surprised us with their gaming flagships. Traditionally, the company used to introduce a gaming device at the beginning of the year, followed by an updated version in the second half of the year. Today, however, the company has interrupted its release cycle by releasing both a regular version and a Pro version in its Black Shark gaming lineup. So, China is getting two new Black Shark gaming phones: Xiaomi Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro. Find out Black shark 3 Pro price in Nepal with its specifications.
Let’s take a closer look at these two items.
Black Shark 3 Pro Design
The new models are proceeding with the brand’s X themed style, with sharp geometrical curves and grooves on the rear. The biggest change in the Black Shark 3 series is the updated triangle camera housing. The company continues to aim for a symmetrical design philosophy, so you also get a similar triangle-shaped design at the bottom of the back.
There are several significant upgrades to the Black Shark 3 lineup design. First up, you’ve got a new Tencent Games and 5G logos on the bottom half of the two phones. The company has collaborated with Tencent Games to optimize gameplay on both of these phones. In addition to Black Shark’s own Gaming Engine, Tencent’s SolarCore Gaming Acceleration Engine features the Black Shark 3 and 3 Pro versions.
There are three cameras on the back of the device, and if you’re interested, the Black Shark 3 line-up will get rid of a telephoto sensor in favor of an ultra-wide-angle sensor. The third sensor is a dedicated field depth shooter. These models are fitted with a dedicated 3.5 mm headphone jack and special magnetic pins (capable of charging 18W).
The biggest difference in design between the two versions is the existence of two tactile physical buttons on the right side of the Pro edition, which is absent from the standard version.
Black Shark 3 Pro Specs
The display is getting a massive update on both versions. Instead of a 6.39-inch AMOLED screen on the Black Shark 2 Pro, the new Black Shark 3 offers a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with the industry’s first 270Hz touch sampling rate. Combined with 24ms touch response time and 28ms multi-finger touch response time, it ensures that you face minimal touch lags during the gameplay. The touch panel refreshes at 90Hz, allowing smooth scrolling and animation.
The Black Shark 3 Pro model takes things to a new level. It arrives with a tablet-sized 7.1-inch AMOLED board with a quad HD+ 3120 x 1440p resolution display. It’s almost the size of Mate 20 X’s massive screen, but with a higher resolution! Obviously, the Pro has one of the best displays for mobile gaming.
The Pro model takes things to a new level.
As for the other specifications, both models feature a new Snapdragon 865 flagship processor with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 and 256 GB of UFS 3.0 storage capacity. Unfortunately, iQOO seems to be the only manufacturer that has upgraded its top-end portfolio to UFS 3.1. The rest of the brands, including Xiaomi’s Mi 10 Pro 5G, continue to use the UFS 3.0 specification as they did last year.
Both versions support 5G and Wi-Fi 6 and there is a special mode that can combine both of these connections to maximize bandwidth.
As described above, the Black Shark 3 Pro has two mechanical gaming buttons on its right side. Black Shark states that each of these buttons is 21 mm long and has a 1.5 mm keystroke.
They are good over 1 million clicks. Unfortunately, these buttons miss the regular version. The Pro version is also fitted with horizontal linear motors for better tactile feedback during gameplay.
Most of the game-centric features are similar to both versions. It requires a separate liquid “Sandwich Cooling System”. At the case, Black Shark clarified that its new models had a dual-battery design with a 116 mm motherboard in between. As far as possible, the company has placed heating elements like CPU and 5G modems. In fact, the company claims that the gap between the two motherboard units is almost 39 mm.
In addition, it features two 100 mm liquid cooling systems on both sides of the motherboard. This produces a sandwich design, and now you know how well the cooling design gets its name. There is also a graphite coating on the two cooling devices. If that wasn’t enough, Black Shark also sells an external cooler for the device similar to what we’ve seen for the Mi 10 series.
There is also a special voice control feature that allows you to perform actions during gameplay. For example, if you call out “grenade” while playing a game like the Valor Arena, the player will throw out the grenades. We’re not sure how exactly this works, but we expect small games to support this.
Cameras have never been a selling point for gaming smartphones, but the new Black Shark series brings a few enhancements to this section. Notice that the configuration is the same for both models.
The primary camera will now be upgraded from 48MP to 64MP. The two versions ditched the Black Shark 2 Pro telephoto shooter and introduced two sensors: a 120-degree 13MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and a dedicated 5MP field depth camera.
The Black Shark 3 contains a 4720mAh battery with 65W of fast charging while the Pro version raises the battery size to 5000mAh with the same fast charging technology. Incredibly, despite having a larger battery, both devices take the same time to charge up to 100%. So, you can charge up to 100% of the two models in just 38 minutes!
