MacBook Air 2020 featuring new M1 chip

Apple launched another new MacBook Air 2020, this time featuring a new M1 chip. The earlier version of MacBook 2020 (in March) came with an Intel-core processor. Apple’s own Arm CPU has been designed specifically for Macs. Consequently, the M1 chip has been used in all three devices: MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac Mini.

With its new M1 chip the power is now in the Air. MacBook Air with an M1 chip is the thinnest and lightest yet extremely powerful processor. It is available at the same price as the March model.

M1 chip consists of an 8-core CPU that is 3.5x faster than the earlier MacBook Air. It can perform any professional-quality editing and action-packed gaming at this speed. Moreover, it has 5x faster graphics with either 7-core or 8-core GPU. It just doesn’t end there.

The M1 chipset also includes a 9x faster Neural Engine of 16-core equipped in the device for a greater Machine Learning experience. Hence, to unlock the potential of the M1 chip, macOS Big Sur has powerful updates for apps. Moreover, it also delivers performance in a fanless design, which means its silence is completely about hearing the Air. Supporting great processor and battery, the M1 chip has also supported an unbelievable memory. MacBook Air 2020 consists of 8GB memory that is expandable up to 16GB of superfast memory. Additionally, it consists of 2x faster SSD and is expandable up to 2TB storage.
