Micromax IN series; Challenging the Chinese smartphone companies, Micromax has made its comeback in 2020 launching their two new phones, Micromax IN Note 1 and Micromax IN 1b, in India. These two budget smartphones will go on sale in India starting from November 24.
Micromax IN series promises pure Android OS with no bloatware and Ads for a clear experience. Similarly, it guarantees 2 years’ update on the software. According to the CEO, Rahul Sharma, he addresses Note 1 as “India’s X-factor”. Note 1 consists of exciting features that are rare to come in budget smartphones. Meanwhile, 1B, which is cheaper, has features that are expected on such budget smartphones. Also, Micromax is a real challenger budget phones like Redmi Note 9, Pro Max, 9s, Realme Narzo 20, and many others.

Performance and Battery
In this new Micromax IN lineup, you’ll find an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 Soc. Note 1 runs on Android 10 and has Mali-G52 MC2 that are designed for good graphics on mainstream phones. The device comes with 4GB RAM and an option to choose between 64GB or 128GB for internal storage.
The device consists of a 5000mAh battery which Micromax claims are powerful enough to last up to 2 days. It also comes with an 18W Fast Charger. Moreover, Note 1 also supports reverse charging.
Design and Display
The smartphone features a 6.67-inch Full HD display with a punch-hole design. It provides 1080 x 2400 pixels’ resolution. The display supports up to 450 nits of brightness level. This X-factor phone has a matt-finish and is available in two classy colors: green and white.
Camera
Micromax Note 1 has a quad-camera setup which is quite impressive on a budget phone. It has a 48MP AI quad-camera that also supports night vision. Meanwhile, it also consists of a 5MP wide lens giving a 115-degree field of view and two 2MP sensors giving macro shots and depth sensing.
Furthermore, for the front camera, the phone consists of a 16MP sensor with a 78-degree wide-angle lens.

Micromax IN 1b Overview
Performance and Battery
Micromax IN 1b consists of a chipset of MediaTek Helio G35 gaming processor with an octa-core processor. It runs on Android 10 and uses Imagination PowerVR GE8320 for the graphic experience. The device is available in either 2GB or 4GB RAM variants. Likewise, it also has options between 32GB and 64GB storage to choose from.
This phone has a 5000mAh battery. But in comparison to Note 1, 1b supports only 10W of fast charging. It does support reverse charging and also comes with a USB Type C, which is rare to find in such budget phones.
Design and Display
This smartphone features a 6.52-inch mini-drop HD+ display. It consists of a screen resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The front of the phone has a water-drop notch that houses a selfie-camera. 1b is given a metallic matte finish and is available in three colors: blue, purple, and green.
Camera
The budget phone comes with AI dual rear camera. It has a Primary lens of 13MP with f/1.8 and is accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera consists of an 8MP selfie camera sensor.

Micromax IN series: Availability and Price in Nepal
Micromax made its comeback by launching its two phones from the IN series in India. Micromax IN Note 1 starts at INR 10,999 whereas, Micromax IN 1b starts at INR 6,999. Likewise, we expect these models to be launched soon in Nepal with the starting price of NPR 19,000 for Note 1 and NPR 12,500 for 1b.
