Not happy with the phones listed on the previous lists?? then get ready to spend a few bucks extra and get ready to be dazzled what mid-rangers phones are capable these days. Smartphone companies are trying to give you the best products within a certain price range. While flagship smartphones don’t always provide exactly what you should get from their higher prices, owing to their costly design, brand name, and stuff, there are many smartphones which have amazing specifications in the least possible cost.
If you have been following our previous posts then we were picking top 5 from every budget segment. But for 30000 we decided to start from no.7 because the 30000 budget segment has a lot to offer and we couldn’t risk missing out good phones for our viewers.
I think 30000 is a standard budget for a smartphone in the Nepali market these days and from a few worthy contenders. Here are our top picks for this budget segment:

- Honor 9x

- Vivo S1
- Samsung A50
- Samsung M40 and Samsung M30s

7. Honor 9X
Starting our list and at no. 7 is a beautiful looking phone from sub-brand from Huawei, the Honor 9X. This phone comes with a bezel-less and notch-less display upfront and yes this is the only phone in this segment. Also, the cheapest in Nepal to feature a motorized pop-up selfie camera.
Powering the device is a mediocre Kirin 910F sure does have limitations, but this phone deserves the money just for its design. This phone is a surely a beautiful looking phone and that notch-less display upfront sure can boast a premium touch in a mid-range budget. On the back, this device houses a triple camera setup on the back with 48 MP primary shooter, an 8 MP ultra-wide lens and a 2 MP depth sensor. For the selfies, the pop-up camera is a 16 MP lens. Juicing the device is a 4000 mAh battery with a 10W charging support.

Honor 9X Price in Nepal: Rs. 29000 (6/128 GB)
6. Honor Play
This phone is nearly 2 years old and this still being a smartphone under 30000 is certainly surprising for many of us. Well not really, this device houses a chipset similar to the company’s 2018 flagship the P20 Pro. Yes, Honor Play comes with Kirin 970 and this device is one of the most powerful phones in this list. This phone has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage which can be a bit low compared to other in the list. On the front, this device houses a 6.3 inch FHD+ IPS LCD panel with an iPhone like notch on the top. A bit old for the year 2020 but remember this phone is was launched in 2018 and still giving a good run for the money.
Camera-wise this device houses a dual-camera setup in the back with a 16 MP being the primary shooter coupled with a 2 MP depth sensor. For the selfies, this device comes with another 16 MP shooter inside the ugly looking notch. Powering the device is a 3750 mAh battery with 18W charging support.

5. Vivo S1
Another one in the list is a phone from Vivo, namely Vivo S1. This phone has a mixed bag type of specs due to which this gets our no. 5 spot on the list. This device houses a 6.53-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display up front which not only provides excellent colours and viewing experiences but also reduces the stress on the battery providing more screen on time to the users. This device also houses an in-display fingerprint scanner. And for the cons, this device still comes with a micro USB on the bottom which is a bit outdated compared to its competitors. I am not a fan of the Funtouch OS as well. It is a direct copy from the iOS and feels a bit sluggish.
Powering the device is a MediaTek Helio P65 under the hood may not be enough for you but for the device, it performs pretty well. Like OPPO, the camera has been a strong department for Vivo smartphones as well. It houses a triple rear camera, 16 MP being the primary shooter and 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 5 MP depth sensor. For your selfies and face recognition, this device comes with a 32 MP shooter under the notch. For the battery, this device houses a 4500 mAh battery with 18W fast charging capabilities.
If you want to buy this smartphone this will cost you Rs. 27,000 for the 4/128 variant and Rs. 30,000 for the 6/128 variant.

4. Samsung A50
Following the list of best smartphone under 30000 in Nepal. Samsung has hit the market’s right note with its “A” series and “M” series smartphones. Samsung A50 is a perfect example that the Korean tech giants are serious for the midrange market as well which makes this phone the most sold Samsung phone for this price range.
I am not a fan of Samsung’s Glasstic approach, a fancy word for plastic. This makes the phone feel cheap in hands but nonetheless this is a great device or the specs it packs inside that cheap feeling glastic body. This phone like most of other Samsung phones is equipped with a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display. An under-display fingerprint scanner is also present which is not the quickest of the lot but still gets the job done with few stutters. The AMOLED display makes the device a multimedia option.
On the camera department, there is a triple set up in the back. A 25 MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide lens with a 5 MP depth sensor. The device is powered by a home-grown Exynos 9610 processor and to cope with that power is the 4000 mAh battery with 15 W fast charging support juices the device.
Price-wise, this device will cost you around Rs. 27,000 in Nepal for the 4/64 GB variant.
Samsung A50 Price in Nepal: Rs. 27,000 (4/64 GB)
3. Samsung M40 and Samsung M30s
I told you before and telling you again Samsung is hitting the right notes not only in the premium segment but for the mid-range segment also so I have here 2 devices from the Koreans tied for the no.3 spot. I have discussed and crowned M30s as the best phone for 25000 in Nepal so I will be talking about M40 in this post.
However, if you want M30s under 30000 Npr, I would recommend you to go for the 6/128 GB variant and it will cost you around 29000 rupees.

Samsung M30s in Nepal: Rs. 29,000 (6/128 GB)
Coming to Samsung M40, most of you would ask “If A50 is already in this price segment why would I buy another Samsung phone?” A50 had a beautiful screen and a tad bit more screen-on time but the M40 has a better design and snappier Snapdragon 675 processor. Performance is the reason that this device comes in our third spot. Alongside the SD 675 chipset is the 6 GB of RAM coupled with 128 GB of internal storage. Design-wise too this phone is sleek and gives a better feel to the hand. More to the attraction it features a 6.3 inch LCD panel with FHD+ with a punch-hole on the left adds a premium touch.
But the fact it lacks AMOLED is a bit disappointing. Another area where it lacks is the battery, offering only 3500 mAh of juice. This device will hardly last you a whole day on moderate to heavy usage. This phone can be considered the closest that Samsung can get you to provide a premium touch in a budget segment that is why it removed the headphone jack. 😛
Talking about cameras, it houses a triple camera in the back, a 32 MP primary lens an 8 MP ultra-wide lens and a 5 MP depth sensor. If you want your hands around this device in Nepal, it will cost you 26000 Npr for the 6/128 GB variant.

2. Realme 5 Pro
I don’t know what OPPO is doing with Realme whatever they are doing they are doing it right. Realme is a new addition to the Nepali smartphone market and a market so dependent on their Chinese compatriots ie the Redmi, Realme can be a fresh and newer option.
Design-wise, this phone looks impressive and stunning as it has attractive patterns in the back. This phone features a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with a water-drop notch on the front. Powering up the device is Snapdragon 712 chipset which is an excellent choice for the price. This is why this device has secured our number 2 spot on the list.
Coming from the house of OPPO this phone also has a strong camera composition. This device has a quad-camera setup, a 48 MP Sony IMX586 sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, a 2 MP macro lens and a 2 MP depth sensor. For your selfies, this device offers you a 16 MP Sony IMX71 inside the notch. Under the hood, Realme 5 Pro has 4,045mAh battery which supports VOOC 3.0 fast charging. And the best part is both the 20W charger and the proprietary USB-C cable required for VOOC charge in the box. Considering the specs it’s perfect for the best smartphone under 30000 in Nepal.
For this device you have to pay Rs. 27,000 for the 4/128 GB variant.

That is why this device is the phone to get if you have a budget around 30000. Coming with a new design this phone excels in each and every aspect for a smartphone at this price point.
On the front, this device has a 6.53 inches FHD+ LCD panel with a teardrop notch. Design-wise too this phone looks and feels sturdy and premium thanks to Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Performance is where this phone stands out from the lot. This phone packs MediaTek’s first gaming-oriented budget chipset, the Helio G90T. Throw anything at it, this phone handles it perfectly. To enhance its performance this phone comes with an integrated liquid cooling chamber. This is still not enough as the phone can get warm after prolonged usage.

For selfies, this device offers you 20 MP shooter inside the notch. Battery-wise this device houses 4500 mAh battery with 18W charging capabilities out of the box. The 6/64 GB variant will cost you Rs. 27,000 whereas 6/128 GB variant will cost you Rs. 30,000. There is another variant with 8 GB of RAM that will cost you Rs. 33,000 but I personally suggest you get the 6/128 GB variant.
