After showing a week-long eagerness over its comeback on its social media, Poco launched Poco M2 in Nepal. Still looking at the features it again feels like Poco hasn’t left rebranding Redmi phones yet. Poco M2 comes with almost similar features that we got to see in Redmi 9. The noticeable difference in its features has made this smartphone cost a few extra bucks.
Poco M2 Overview
Poco M2 features an AI Quad camera, a powerful processor with good graphic experience, great display, and strong battery life. It is available in 6/64GB in Nepal.
Speaking about its display, it features a 6.53-inch Full HD+ display. It provides vibrant colors and satisfactory contrast levels with 400 nits and 1080 x 2340 screen resolution. The frame of this smartphone is a plastic build, yet it also consists of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and P2i for water and dust protection.
Performance and Battery
Performance-wise, it has the same chipset, Mediatek Helio G80, that was featured by Redmi 9. This 12nm chip is best for everyday gamers. Poco M2 incorporates a pair of powerful Arm Cortex-A75 CPU operating up to 2GHz, along with six Cortex-A55 processors. Moreover, its Mali-G52 class graphic processor can boost up to 950MHz for peak performance and highly-responsive user experience. Hence with this, you get a nice gaming experience.
The smartphone runs on Android 10 with MUI 11. It consists of 6GB RAM and options to choose between 64GB or 128GB for storage. The major noticeable difference between Redmi 9 and Poco M2 is its storage option. Redmi 9 has a 3/32GB and 4/64GB available in Nepal.
With great performance comes a great battery life. Poco M2 has a 5000mAh non-removable battery. It supports fast charging for 18W. Consequently, you can easily rely on your phone battery even if you spend most of your time playing mobile games.
Like every other budget smartphone, Poco M2 also consists of an AI Quad Camera setup. With a 13MP for Primary sensors, it looks like the company could have worked on upgrading it on their Poco variant. However, it is accompanied by other lenses that are most commonly found on smartphones these days. It consists of an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 118° coverage. For close-up photography, you get a 5MP macro lens and for Depth of Field, there’s a 2MP Depth lens. You can get 1080p at 30fps for recording video.
For selfie, you’ll find an 8MP lens positioned at the waterdrop notch at the top.
