Mavic 3 Pro; DJI’s First Triple Camera Drone!

After a gap of over a year and a half, DJI has introduced the “Pro” version of their Mavic 3 drone. You’ll want to get your hands on this “Pro” model since it features a trio of optical cameras, a first for a DJI drone.

Let’s dive deeper into the specifics of the DJI Mavic 3 Pro and its estimated price in Nepal, as there’s a lot more to cover.

DJI Mavic 3 Pro Overview;

Triple Cameras

The Mavic 3 Pro is the first DJI drone to have three cameras. The Mavic 3’s 20MP 24mm 4/3-inch CMOS sensor with Hasselblad tuning is used in the primary camera. It can record video at up to 5.1K at 50fps or DCI 4K at 120fps, and take 12-bit RAW pictures with a natural dynamic range of up to 12.8 stops. Also new to the Mavic 3 Pro is the 10-bit D-Log M color mode.

Even in high-contrast situations, such sunrises and sunsets, this allows you to shoot films with up to a billion colors (10-bit) and natural color gradations. DJI claims that the D-Log M option makes color grading easier for editors.

The telephoto camera with the 1/2.5″ sensor and the 15° FoV hasn’t altered either. However, DJI has made some changes to this. The lens’s focal length is now 166mm, up from 162mm, and its maximum aperture has been increased from f/4.4 to f/3.4. Recording [email protected] video is now possible with the telephoto camera.

In addition, the Mavic 3 Pro has a new “medium-tele” camera that uses a 70mm lens. It features a 3x optical zoom on a 48/12MP CMOS sensor that records 4K video at 60 frames per second. It also supports the brand new D-log M profile.

Mavic 3 Pro “Who”

Meanwhile, the DJI Mavic 3 Pro Cine is available for those who desire even more sophisticated video features, such as the ability to shoot RAW videos. In this configuration, all three cameras can record in Apple ProRes (422 HQ, 422 LT, or 422 LT). It can save all of the footage on its own 1TB hard drive.

Interestingly, at 963 grams, it’s a touch heavier than the normal Pro, which weighs 958. The Cine version of the Mavic 3 Pro is similar to the Pro in most respects.

Battery

The Mavic 3 Pro can stay in the air for up to 43 minutes. Even though it has a shorter flight time than the Mavic 3, the Pro version’s extra features make up for the loss of those three minutes in the air. The flight duration could be much less if you are filming with DJI’s obstacle avoidance technology, APAS 5.0.

Others

In other respects, the DJI Mavic 3 Pro is functionally identical as the Mavic 3. In order to transmit a 1080p/60 live feed to the DJI RC controller, it continues to employ DJI’s “OccuSync” O3+ technology. LightCut, an app created by DJI, is a powerful video editing tool.

The preview function allows you to watch clips without having to export them, and the One-Tap Edit function uses AI to make editing simple. FocusTrack, MasterShots, QuickShots, and Panorama are just some of DJI’s “intelligent” modes that come standard with the Mavic 3 Pro.
