Google Pixel Fold; Rumors Have Flooded The Internet!

Google Pixel Fold’s rumors have been circulating for more than a year, but now we actually have a glimpse at the impending foldable device in real life. The first foldable device from Google is scheduled to make its public debut at Google I/O, which begins on May 10, and open sales are slated to begin in late June. Users will have the option of purchasing one in either the color Carbon or Porcelain.

Google Pixel Fold; Overview

According to the rumors, the Google Pixel Fold will be a portable smartphone with a design that is comparable to the Oppo Find N series. Unfolded, it will have dimensions of approximately 158.7 millimeters by 139.7 millimeters by 5.7 millimeters, making it much bigger and shorter than the Galaxy Z Fold 4. The thickest part of the device will measure just 8.3 millimeters, making it even more compact. When opened up, the phone will expose a sizable inner screen that measures 7.69 inches.

In terms of its appearance, the camera hump does not extend to the sides of the device like it does on more current Pixel devices. In spite of this, it continues to have a pixelated appearance. It has also been said that the Pixel Fold will be resistant to water, which would be a significant accomplishment for the company’s first foldable device. On the other hand, the foldable is anticipated to have a weight of 283 grams, which is significantly greater than the Fold 4’s weight of 263 grams.

When it comes to overall performance of Google Pixel Fold, it is anticipated that the Google Tensor G2 chip, in addition to the Titan M2 chip, will be used to power the Pixel Fold. We anticipate that the Pixel Fold will be equipped with 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and either 215 GB or 512 GB of UFS 3.0 storage space. It was capable of running Android 13. In spite of the fact that there is no official mention of the battery capacity, Prosser claims that the Pixel Fold has a battery life of more than 24 hours.

A number of other features, including as compatibility for 5G, Wi-Fi 6e, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, USB Type-C charging and audio, Near Field Communication (NFC), and stereo speakers, are also included.

Camera Features And Battery Life

The Google Pixel Fold will reportedly have a primary camera with a resolution of 48 megapixels, an aperture of 1.7 millimeters, optical image stabilization, and an 82-degree field of vision. Additionally, it looks that there is a 10.8-megapixel ultrawide camera with a field of view of 12.1 degrees and lens correction, as well as a 10.8-megapixel telephoto lens with up to 5x optical zoom and 20x Super Res Zoom. Both of these cameras have lens correction.

Leaks suggest that Google intends to sell the Pixel Fold as having a battery life that is “beyond 24 hours” and can last up to 72 hours in Extreme Battery Saver Mode. This is in contrast to the current Pixel, which has a battery life of only 24 hours.

According to numerous sources, it will have a capacity that is greater than the 4,400 mAh battery that is present in the Galaxy Z Fold 4. It is hoped that this will result in the Pixel Fold having a high battery performance; nevertheless, foldables have not yet posted good scores on the TG custom battery test.

There is a good chance that Google will unveil the Google Pixel Fold and the Pixel 7a on the same day, May 10, at Google I/O 2023. According to recent estimates, the price of Google’s foldable smartphone would reportedly be greater than USD 1,700. This places it in direct competition with the Galaxy Z Fold 4, which can be purchased for approximately 1,800 U.S. dollars.
