Design

Insta360 GO 2 is the world’s smallest action camera shaped like a pill. It weighs 27g and is IPX8 certified water-resistant. It can shoot high-resolution videos while staying hands-free even in 13ft of the water pool.

The designation of the GO 2 is made easier with a multi-purpose plastic case which can be transitioned as a tripod, remote, external battery, and even a charger. It has a matte finish with a USB Type-C port for charging. In addition, there is a 025-inch thread applicable for mounting.

The Insta360 GO 2 features a protective sensor that is swappable with an ND filter set if you are willing to buy it separately. This is easily attachable to your preferred handle since it packs a magnet inside its body which can be manipulated by the magnetic pendant. It also ships with a clip for easy connection to establish better stability.

Features

The Insta360 GO 2 can confuse you since it doesn’t shoot 360 videos like that of the Insta360 EVO series. However, it can shoot HDR recordings at 1440p resolution within 50 frames per second, i.e. up to 2K shots. In addition, there is a Pro video mode that has two modes stabilizations – Basic and Insta360 Flowstate. Further, there is a time-lapse option alongside hyper-lapse and slow-motion for video shoots. For pictures, there is a standard mode, interval mode, star lapse, and night shots.  

Moving on, there are four options for the fields of view during the shoot. That includes a 120° Ultrawide view and a 110° ActionView. Moreover, there is AquaVision support for better shots while shooting underwater.

Compatibility

The Insta360 GO 2 is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. iOS mobiles with A11 chipset or iOS version 10.0 can show the best compatibility while for Android, Kirin 980, Snapdragon 845, and Exynos 9810 is the minimum processing requirement. As per those phones without these requirements, you can download the app to control the camera. However, some features may be limited. There might be hardware decoding problems as well.

For connectivity, there is a USB Type-C port for charging and Bluetooth 5.0 for better connections. It packs 32GB storage within which only 28GB is accessible to the users. There is a 30 minutes and 20 minutes battery endurance while the camera operates video mode and Pro video mode respectively. Likewise, it can be extended to 150 minutes and 110 minutes with the help of the charging case.

Moreover, it is available in white color with an exposure value of ±4EV. It can function well in the temperature range of 14° F to 104° F.
