Apple has officially launched the iPhone 13 series in Nepal. They feature the new A15 Bionic processor alongside cameras integrating big sensors for better low light photos. They even come with big batteries which is a significant step up from iPhone 12 series. Here, we will look at the specs, features, availability, and the official price of the iPhone 13 in Nepal.
iPhone 13 Overview
Display and Design
iPhone 13 flaunts a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with HDR10 contents and Dolby Vision which boasts 800nits of typical brightness and 1200nits of peak brightness. It has a screen-to-body ratio of 86%. The pixel capacity measures 1170×2532 while the aspect ratio and PPI density are 19.5:9 and 460 respectively. The display is protected by Scratch-resistant ceramic glass with an oleophobic coating. Further, it has a Wide color gamut and sports True-tone.
The handset measures 146.7×71.5×7.7mm in dimension while the weight remains 174 grams. Both front and back panels are built from Corning Gorilla Glass which are finally embedded in an aluminum frame. The body can resist up to 6m dust/water for 30 minutes since it is IP68 certified for the same purpose. You can choose from five different color options for the model – Starlight, Midnight, Blue, Pink, and Red.
Performance and Memory
As mentioned earlier, iPhone 13 comes with Apple’s A15 Bionic chipset. The powerful chip is based on 5nm of the manufacturing process. It integrates a Hexa-core CPU and a 4-core Apple graphics processor. If we recall, the iPhone 12-series had an A14 Bionic chipset in each one of them.
iPhone 13 comes packing iOS 15 out-of-the-box. As we know, iOS 15 and its new features have been rendering over the internet for so long in the past month. As per memory, there are three configurations available for the model – 6GB RAM paired with 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB of internal storage respectively. The latter is of NVMe kind and is not expandable in any way.
Moving on to optics, there is a dual-camera setup lying diagonally inside the rectangular module at the rear panel. The panel also houses a Dual-LED dual-tone flash for better low-light pictures. The camera sensors here are relatively bigger than that of the iPhone 12 series. It has a 12MP primary sensor of f/1.6 aperture and 1.7 microns pixel capacity. It supports dual pixel PDAF and sensor-shift stabilization. Accompanying this is another 12MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.4 aperture and a 120-degrees field of view. Moreover, they can click HDR and panorama pictures with ease.
Upfront, there is a 12MP selfie shooter with an f/2.2 aperture and a depth/biometrics sensor of SL 3D which completes the dual camera setup. Both front and back cameras can record 4K videos at the 24/30/60 frames per second at max. Where the front-facing camera stops on gyro-EIS with the video shoot, the back camera has HDR mode alongside Dolby Vision HDR and stereo sounds.
Battery and Extras
As we know, Apple never announces the battery size with phones. So, though we don’t know how bigger their batteries will be compared to the iPhone 12 series, we do know that they are relatively bigger providing us with longer battery life. All we know is that it has a Lithium-Ion battery with 20W fast charging, 15W MagSafe wireless charging, and 7.5W Qi magnetic fast wireless charging. If we believe the advertisements, it can juice up 50% in just 30 minutes. Further, it is said to have battery endurance of 19 hours with video playback, 15 hours with streamed video playbacks, and up to 75 hours with audio playbacks.
There are stereo speakers for audio in the iPhone 13 and like most iPhones from past years, it also lacks the 3.5mm headphone jack. For connectivity, there is Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS (A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, QZSS), NFC, and Lightning USB 2.0. Likewise, the sensors include an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, and face ID. Moreover, there are natural language commands and dictation on Siri and Ultra-Wideband (UWB) support as well.
