Finally, Huawei has introduced its Huawei Nova 8 series smartphones in China. This series consists of two devices:

Nova 8 Overview
Design and Display
Let’s start with the Huawei Nova 8, this device comes with a 6.5-inch Full HD+ OLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. This device display has a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and the device also has an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Also, the display has10-bit color depth, DCI-P3 color gamut as well as HDR10 support. The Huawei Nova 8 measures 160.1 x 74.1 x 7.6mm and weighs in at 169 grams.
Camera
Huawei Nova 8 comes with a quadruple rear camera setup. There is a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide, and two 2MP sensors for macro shots and depth data. Upfront is a 32MP selfie camera. The 8MP ultra-wide camera comes with a 120° field of view.

Nova 8 Pro Overview
Design and Display
The Huawei Nova 8 Pro is slightly bigger than Nova 8 but has a higher refresh rate & touch sampling. It comes with a 6.72-inch display with a resolution of 1236 x 2676 pixels. Coming to the best part of the display, it has a 120Hz refresh rate and a whopping 300Hz touch sampling rate.
Also, the display has a 10-bit color depth, DCI-P3 color gamut as well as HDR10 support. Similar to the Nova 8, this device also has under-display fingerprint scanner features. The Huawei Nova 8 Pro measures 163.3 x 74.1 x 7.9mm and weighs in at 169 grams.
Camera
Moving to the cameras section, the Huawei Nova 8 Pro comes with a pill-shaped cutout for the selfie dual front camera – 32MP + 16MP, and the back camera is similar to the Nova 8: a quadruple rear camera – 64MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP where 64MP is the primary Camera.

Huawei Nova 8 and Nova 8 Pro are currently launched in China and they will go on sale from December 30 in China. The price of both devices starts at CNY 3,299 (~$505) and CNY 3,999 (~$610) respectively.
