The Chinese smartphone company Oppo has released the OPPO Reno 2F last week after announcing it back in August. This budget phone is a premium mid-range phone with some new and amazing features like VOOC Flash Charge, an optical in-display fingerprint, and a pop-up selfie camera
Reno 2F is another instalment to the Reno series and is a premium-feel smartphone owing to its design and specs. That is why it is tagged with quite a price for a mid-range device.
Overview
OPPO Reno 2F has a neat AMOLED display of 6.5 inches with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels. The device is protected at the front as well as back with Gorilla Glass 5, so we can expect it to handle minor drops. Also, the display is notchless, providing a clear and distraction-free experience, thanks to the inclusion of motorized pop-up for the selfie camera.
Under the hood, Reno 2F runs with Mediatek Helio P70 processor joined with Mali-G72 GPU. Both are decent in terms of performance. Running most games at medium graphics should be easy. Other regular day-to-day tasks will run smoothly.
Android Pie (9.0) is installed on the phone with OPPO’s ColorOS 6.1 with extra features customized for the model. The device is packed with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, which we consider to be good for most users. Also, there is a dedicated slot for microSD to expand storage up to 256GB in case you need it.
Camera
Speaking of the camera, which is this phone’s main feature, you get a vertically housed quad-camera setup at the back. The primary shooter is a PDAF-supporting 48 MP lens. Also, there is an 8MP ultrawide along with a 2 MP black and white lens and a 2 MP dedicated depth sensor.
Main camera will be able to shoot gyro-EIS videos in 1080p at 30 fps. Moreover, we get a Dual-LED flash for more bright shots at night too. Likewise, the selfie camera, as we mentioned before, is a motorized pop-up of a 16 MP lens. Just like the rear camera, it will also be able to take shots in HDR.
Battery
This device comes with a pretty good Non-Removable 4000 mAh battery. Similarly, the newly added VOOC Flash Charge, or in other words, the enhanced fast charging, will help the device to recharge its juice quickly.
In addition to the main features, OPPO has added an under-display fingerprint sensor to Reno 2F which seems very comfortable. USB Type-C reversible connector is present and you’ll also find the Radio feature in it.
