POCO launched a new line-up on its C-series a few months back. The device is named POCO C31 and has a little disappointing specs for a budget phone in this era. Initially, only the 4/64GB memory configuration was available in Nepal but now, we have received 3/32GB as well. However, it has now hiked the price of the 6/64GB configuration now. POCO C31 Overview
Display and Design
The POCO C31 flaunts a 6.53-inch LCD with HD+ resolution and a standard refresh rate of 60Hz. It boasts an aspect ratio of 20:9 while there is TÜV Rheinland certification for strain reduction which protects their eyes.
Further, there is P2i coating with rubberized seals which protects the device again water damage. At the back panel, there is a square-shaped module holding a triple camera setup.
Performance
Powering the device is MediaTek’s Helio G35 based on a 12nm manufacturing process. There is an octa-core CPU with eight Cortex-A53 cores clocked at the maximum speed of 2.3GHz. Likewise, it has Imagination PowerVR GE8320 to handle the graphics depart.
It has two memory configurations – 3/32GB and 4/64GB. The internal storage can be expanded up to 512GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. On the software front, there is Android 10 running on top of MIUI 12. Moreover, you can have an ad-free experience according to POCO.
Camera
As mentioned earlier, POCO C31 features a square camera module that holds a triple camera setup. It has a 13MP primary sensor and two 2MP lenses for macro and portrait shots respectively. Upfront, there is a 5MP selfie snapper inside the waterdrop notch above the screen.

Under the hood, there is a 5,000mAh battery cell with 10W charging support. The charging is done via a micro USB port which can also be helpful for data transfer purposes. For biometrics, there is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Moreover, it uses Wi-Fi 802.11 and Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless connectivity.
