Realme 8 has finally launched in Nepal after being previously announced in an online event on 25th March 2021. It is an update to last year’s Realme 7. The Realme 8 price in Nepal is Rs. 35,990. Let’s take a look at the specs and availability of Realme 8 in Nepal.

Design and Display:

The Realme 8 adopts a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display panel with a 60Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. It supports the resolution of 1080×2400-pixels boosting the screen-to-body ration of 83.3% and the aspect ratio of 20:9. It has a peak brightness of 1,000 nits and gives 411 PPI density.

The 160.6×73.9×8.1mm dimension has a glass front with a plastic frame and plastic back. The body can endure Dual Nano-SIM in a dual standby while weighing around 176gm.

Realme 8 comes in a Cyber Black and Cyber Silver color options. The polycarbonate-built models have a “Dare to Leap” branding on their back that gives the rainbow reflection from different angles.

Performance and Memory:

Realme 8 runs on Android 11 based on Realme UI 2.0. It houses a MediaTek Helio G95 processor based on a 12nm Octa-core (2×2.05 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55) chipset. As for the graphics processor, it has the Mali-G76 MC4.

Moving on, the handset has 4/64GB, 4/128GB, 6/128GB, and 8/128GB memory variants to choose from. The memory has the UFS 2.1 and is expandable up to 512GB through a dedicated microSD card slot. However, only an 8/128GB variant of the Realme 8 has been launched in Nepal.

Camera and Sound:

Realme 8 has a 64MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. Besides that, it has an 8MP ultrawide sensor with an f/2.3 aperture and two 2MP macro and depth shooters. The video support for the model is a 4K shoot at 30fps and 1080p at 30/60/128fps. Additionally, it has a LED flash alongside the support of HDR and panorama modes.

Upfront, it has a 16MP selfie shooter with f/2.5 aperture which supports the HDR and panorama modes but doesn’t have a LED flash. The video support is a 1080p resolution at 30/120fps.

Talking about the sound, it features a loudspeaker system with 24-bit/192kHz audio and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Battery and Extras:

Realme 8 is fueled with a non-removable Li-Po 5,000mAh battery that has the 30W fast charging aid. The brand claims a 50% charge in 26 minutes and a full 100% charge in 65 minutes.

Furthermore, the phone uses an optical, under-display fingerprint sensor for biometrics. Other sensors include an accelerometer, gyro meter, proximity, and compass. Getting towards the connectivity, it comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 support with an A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, and a region-dependent NFC. However, the Bluetooth versions are varied with a Bluetooth 5.1 in Realme 8 whereas the Realme 8 Pro has a Bluetooth 5.0.
