Realme has launched two new smartphones in its 9-series. There is a Realme 9 5G set and a Special Edition of the phone. Realme also introduced a new smartwatch in the market alongside these smartphones named Realme TechLife Watch S100. Here, we will talk about the specs, features, availability, and the expected price of Realme 9 5G in Nepal.
Realme 9 5G Overview
Display and Design
The new Realme 9-series lineup brings a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen with a 90Hz of refresh rate. It also boasts 180Hz of touch sampling rate and 1080×2400-pixels resolution. Likewise, the typical brightness and HBM brightness here is 480nits and 600nits respectively. There is 405 PPI density alongside 83.9% screen-to-body ratio and 20:9 aspect ratio. Above the screen, there is a left-aligned camera cutout to hold the front-facing lens.
The device weighs 188 grams and measures 8.5mm in thickness. The front is made up of glass while the back is plastic-made. There are two color options available for the model – Stargaze White and Meteor Black.
Performance and Memory
Powering the device is MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor based on a 6nm manufacturing process. It integrates an octa-core CPU with two Cortex-A76 and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at the speed of 2.4GHz and 2.0GHz respectively. Further, there is Arm’s Mali-G57 MC2 chipset handling the graphics. Over to the software front, the system still boots on Android 11 on top of Realme UI 2.0.
There are two memory configurations available for the phone – 4/64GB and 6/128GB of UFS 2.1. You can also expand your internal storage up to 512GB via a dedicated microSD card slot.
Camera and Audio
Under the hood, there is a triple camera setup led by a 48MP lens with an f/1.8 aperture and 0.8-microns pixel capacity. Others are two 2MP sensors with f/2.4 aperture each for macro and portrait shots respectively. In addition, the rectangular camera module holds an LED flash for better night shots. It can also record videos at 1080p resolution at the rate of 30 frames per second.
For selfies, there is a 16MP front-facing camera lying in the left-aligned camera cutout we mentioned earlier. It can also shoot 1080p videos at 30fps, the same as the rear camera setup.
Moving on, there is a loudspeaker system that tunes out 24-bit/192kHz audio. You can also use the 3.5mm headphone jack for music and calls.

Realme 9 5G gets its fuel from a massive 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometrics. Other sensors include an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass. Furthermore, the connectivity options list out as Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS (A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, QZSS), and USB Type-C 2.0.

Realme has already started the sale of the phone in the Indian market at the price of INR 14,999 and INR 17,499 for the 4/64GB and 6/128GB memory configurations. If the Realme 9 5G ever reaches Nepal, we estimate its price to be NPR 25,500 and NPR 30,500 for the same variations.
