Let’s begin with the design. The new Redmi G 2021 sports a 16.1-inch display with an excellent refresh rate of 144Hz. You can use the laptop at a 75Hz refresh rate as well. The lower bezel on the screen features a “Redmi G” branding and the upper bezel holds the webcam. Likewise, the side bezels are reduced to a minimum while the edges are quite sharp-angled.
Performance
As mentioned earlier, the laptop features both Intel and AMD processors. Here the intel configuration is a Core i5-11260H chipset with six cores CPU clocked at the speed of 4.4GHz. It couples with the RTX 3050 graphics processor. Further, the AMD variant is a Ryzen 5800H processor with eight cores CPU clocked at the maximum speed of 4.4GHz. Now, this is pair with RTX 3060 graphics processor.
Moving on, there is Hurricane Cooling 3.0 to keep the temperature down with dual fans, four air outlets, and up to five copper heat pipes. Here, the laptop is available with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD.

Fueling the device are two battery cells for the intel and AMD processors respectively. The former flaunts a 55Whr battery while the latter integrates an 80Whr. Both are packed with 180W and 230W charging adapters respectively.
Finally, the Wi-Fi 6 handles wireless connectivity. There is DTS:X audio inside the laptop which also includes a backlit keyboard, Xiao AI smart assistant, and a USB Type-C port. In addition, the Intel model also flaunts Thunderbolt 4.
