Design and display
The Redmi Note 10S features a 6.43-inch AMOLED display protected by the corning Gorilla Glass 3. The IP53 rated dust and splash resistance seems to be fine along with an 8-bit color depth and 1100 nits of peak brightness.
Talking about outlooks, there is an Evol design similar to that of the others in the Note 10 series. Besides them, there is a Z-axis haptic motor. The color options available are Deep Sea Blue (Ocean Blue), Shadow Black (Onyx Gray), and (Frost White) Pebble White.
Performance and Memory
Redmi Note 10S is the first smartphone from the Note 10 series that features a MediaTek processor. It is powered up with an Helio G95 chipset that boasts HyperEngine technology. This means the handset supports nice gameplay.
The Octa-core (2×2.05 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55) CPU is accompanied by the Mali-G76 MC4 graphic processor that smoothens your experience even more.
Moreover, the model runs along with Android 11 on top of MIUI 12.5. The memory variants are 6/64GB, 6/128GB, and 8/128GB of UFS 2.2. The internal storage is expandable via a dedicated microSD card slot that comes within the SIM valve.
Camera and Sound
The quad-camera setup in the Redmi Note 10S has a 64MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture. Additionally, there is an 8MP ultrawide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture that gives 118̊ FOV. Completing the setup are two sets of 2MP lenses for macro and depth shots.
Upfront, it houses a 13MP selfie camera that features an AI beautify. The video shoot differs for the rear and front camera. Upfront there is only a 1080p video shot at 30fps but the back setup can shoot 4K videos at 30fps.
Moving on to sound, there is a stereo speaker system (24-bit/129kHz) with Hi-Res Audio certification. Moreover, it also has a 3.5mm headphone jack for music.
Battery and Extras
Fueling the Note 10S is a non-removable Li-Po 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. Furthermore, it has gone with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometrics but of course, has the face unlock as well. Other sensors are an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass.
For connectivity, there is Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS (A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS), a region dependent on NFC, and a USB Type-C 2.0 for charging and data transfers. There is also an Infrared blaster.
