For the first time, Tecno has finally started the sale of its premium phone going by the name Phantom X. While we are on the topic, Phantom is a sub-brand from Tecno for the manufacture of only premium phones. Firstly, the main highlight of this newly introduced phone has been its camera setup. Design and Display
Above all, the new Tecno Phantom X flaunts a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and 120Hz touch sampling rate. For the premium look, it also has curved edges protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on each side.
Moving on to design, there is also a dual punch-hole cutout at the front and a rectangular camera cutout at the back. The rear camera module is also like that of the Samsung Galaxy S9 series. Further, there is a striped body alongside the color option of Starry Night Blue and Monet Summer. Therefore, we can say that the brand has shown a lot of effort in making this a premium phone.
Performance and Memory
Powering the Phantom X is a MediaTek Helio G95 processor based on a 12nm chipset which is supposed to give a very nice user experience during video streaming or playing games. In addition, it has been teamed up with two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.05GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. Meanwhile, for graphics, there is a Mali-G76 MC4 GPU which is a budget graphics handler.
Further, it has a single memory configuration of 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. You can also expand the storage up to 1TB via a dedicated microSD card slot. Moreover, it runs on Android 11 on top of HiOS 7.6 for software handling. The other notable thing to mention consequently in the performance factor is that there is a vapor chamber cooling attached with the chipset to keep the model cooler up to 3-5º degrees Celsius.

Camera and Sound
AS mentioned before, the Phantom X serves an excellent camera setup at both sides, front, and back. In short, there is a triple camera setup at the back with a 50MP primary sensor of f/1.85 aperture. Subsequently, it is a 1/1.3-inch lens with Dual-Pixel and Laser autofocus. Further, completing the setup is a 13MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom for portrait shots and an 8MP ultrawide sensor with a 120º viewing angle. Moreover, there is a quad-LED flashlight for better shots.
Upfront, it houses a dual-camera module consequently in a pill-shaped cutout with a 48MP primary lens teamed up with an 8MP ultrawide shooter of 105º field of view. The module also includes a dual-LED flashlight for a better experience.
In addition, the video shoot for both sides has a 1080p resolution offering at 30 frames per second. Moreover, there is also 4K video support by the back camera at 30/60fps.
Moving on to sound, Phantom X features a loudspeaker system but without the stereo speakers like those in the other brand’s premium phones. However, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack for music, FM radio, and calls.
Battery and Extras

Furthermore, for biometrics, there is an optical under-display fingerprint sensor that has an unlock time of 0.4 seconds only. On the other hand, other sensors are an accelerometer, gyro, and proximity. Meanwhile, the connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.0, and a GPS (A-GPS). Unfortunately, there certainly is no NFC or an infrared blaster.
