Vivo India has launched a new smartphone in the market – T1 5G. This handset is targeted at younger Gen Z users. This is the first smartphone under T-series in India. Not to have any confusion, Vivo T1 and Vivo T1 5G and completely different models. While the former is exclusive in the Chinese market, the latter is already starting the sale in India. Here, we will look at the specs, features, availability, and the expected price of the Vivo T1 5G in Nepal.
Vivo T1 5G Overview
Display and Design
The new Vivo T1 5G sports a 6.58-inch IPS LCD with Full HD+ resolution. Above the screen, there is a water-drop notch that holds the front-facing camera. There is a pixel density of 401 and the aspect ratio remains 20:9. Likewise, the screen-to-body ratio is 83.9% for the device.
As per the design, it is the slimmest 5G phone in the category of under 20,000 within the Indian market. It weighs only 187 grams while embedding the dimension of 164×75.8×8.3mm. Further, it has a black body in a boxy design. There are two color options for the phone – Starlight Black and Rainbow Fantasy.
Performance and Memory
Under the hood, Vivo T1 5G powers up with Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 based on a 6nm fabrication process. The chipset integrates an octa-core CPU with two Kryo 660 Gold and six Kryo 660 Silver cores clocked at the speed of 2.2GHz and 1.7GHz respectively. Likewise, the graphics depart is handled by Adreno 619 processor. The most disappointing factor of this phone is that despite being the slimmest 5G phone, it only supports two 5G bands – n77 and n78. A Motorola smartphone with the same processor supports 13 different bands.
Moving on, there are three memory configurations available for the phone – 4/128GB, 6/128GB, and 8/128GB. You can also expand the internal storage with the help of a microSD card slot shared with the SIM slot. On the software front, the phone boots on Android 11 on top of Funtouch 12. Moreover, the smartphone features a 5 layers cooling system to reduce the core temperature by up to 10-degree Celsius.
Camera and Sound
Talking about the optics, there is a triple camera setup with a 50MP primary lens of f/1.8 aperture. Others are two 2MP sensors for macro and portrait shots respectively. The module also holds a Dual-LED flash for better night shots. There is 1080p support that you can shoot at the rate of 30 frames per second.
Upfront, there is a 16MP selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture that can also shoot 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. Further, there is a loudspeaker system for audio alongside a 3.5mm headphone jack for music and calls.
Rest of the specs
Fueling the device is a massive 5,000mAh battery with an 18W fast charging support. The charging happens with a USB Type-C port which also works for data transfer purposes. For biometrics, there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a software-based face unlocks.
Other sensors are an accelerometer, proximity, and compass. Further, there is Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS (A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, QZSS), and FM radio.
