Finally, Apple is planning on opening its first retail outlet in India. The company’s “Apple BKC” barricade has just announced that it will be opening its first retail store in the area at the Jio World Drive Mall in Mumbai, Maharashtra. This announcement has come after repeated delays.
According to what we currently know, Jio World Drive mall will be home to the nation’s first Apple Store, which will have a total floor space of 22,000 square feet.
In January 2023, the iPhone manufacturer started hiring for a number of employees at its retail location in India. Following this launch, the business is rumored to be preparing to open a second store in New Delhi’s Pick CityWalk mall that will be between 10,000 and 12,000 square feet in size. The region’s first two Apple retail stores are anticipated to open between April and June 2023, according to earlier rumors.
Apple shares glimpse of first retail store in India
The store is situated in a prime area of Mumbai because the Jio World Drive mall is home to several well-known international companies. Apple has also shared a glimpse of it’s store online.
“Inspired by the iconic Kaali Peeli taxi art unique to Mumbai, the Apple BKC creative includes colorful interpretations of the decals combined with many Apple products and services that will be available for our customers to discover.” Apple said in a statement about the colorful barricade encircling the store.
“The creative for the store features a bright welcome to people passing by with the classic Apple greeting Hello Mumbai.” the business added.
