Mavic 3 Pro; DJI’s First Triple Camera Drone!

After a gap of over a year and a half, DJI has introduced the “Pro” version of their Mavic 3 drone. You’ll want to get your hands on this “Pro” model since it features a trio of optical cameras, a first for a DJI drone.

Let’s dive deeper into the specifics of the DJI Mavic 3 Pro and its estimated price in Nepal, as there’s a lot more to cover.

DJI Mavic 3 Pro Overview;

Triple Cameras

The Mavic 3 Pro is the first DJI drone to have three cameras. The Mavic 3’s 20MP 24mm 4/3-inch CMOS sensor with Hasselblad tuning is used in the primary camera. It can record video at up to 5.1K at 50fps or DCI 4K at 120fps, and take 12-bit RAW pictures with a natural dynamic range of up to 12.8 stops. Also new to the Mavic 3 Pro is the 10-bit D-Log M color mode.

Even in high-contrast situations, such sunrises and sunsets, this allows you to shoot films with up to a billion colors (10-bit) and natural color gradations. DJI claims that the D-Log M option makes color grading easier for editors.

The telephoto camera with the 1/2.5″ sensor and the 15° FoV hasn’t altered either. However, DJI has made some changes to this. The lens’s focal length is now 166mm, up from 162mm, and its maximum aperture has been increased from f/4.4 to f/3.4. Recording [email protected] video is now possible with the telephoto camera.

In addition, the Mavic 3 Pro has a new “medium-tele” camera that uses a 70mm lens. It features a 3x optical zoom on a 48/12MP CMOS sensor that records 4K video at 60 frames per second. It also supports the brand new D-log M profile.

Mavic 3 Pro “Who”

Meanwhile, the DJI Mavic 3 Pro Cine is available for those who desire even more sophisticated video features, such as the ability to shoot RAW videos. In this configuration, all three cameras can record in Apple ProRes (422 HQ, 422 LT, or 422 LT). It can save all of the footage on its own 1TB hard drive.

Interestingly, at 963 grams, it’s a touch heavier than the normal Pro, which weighs 958. The Cine version of the Mavic 3 Pro is similar to the Pro in most respects.

Battery

The Mavic 3 Pro can stay in the air for up to 43 minutes. Even though it has a shorter flight time than the Mavic 3, the Pro version’s extra features make up for the loss of those three minutes in the air. The flight duration could be much less if you are filming with DJI’s obstacle avoidance technology, APAS 5.0.

Others

In other respects, the DJI Mavic 3 Pro is functionally identical as the Mavic 3. In order to transmit a 1080p/60 live feed to the DJI RC controller, it continues to employ DJI’s “OccuSync” O3+ technology. LightCut, an app created by DJI, is a powerful video editing tool.

The preview function allows you to watch clips without having to export them, and the One-Tap Edit function uses AI to make editing simple. FocusTrack, MasterShots, QuickShots, and Panorama are just some of DJI’s “intelligent” modes that come standard with the Mavic 3 Pro.

How to Install an SSD In Your Desktop PC

Solid-state drives, also known as SSDs, are currently more common among PC enthusiasts than hard disk drives due to their better speed and dependability. Choosing an SSD will significantly improve the performance of your desktop computer if you are upgrading from an HDD or creating a new one. You’ll observe a substantial change in how quickly apps launch, how quickly data are copied, and more. So let’s get started and walk through each step of installing an SSD in your desktop PC without wasting any time. Although installing an SSD is not particularly challenging, rookie PC builders may find the anxiety to be too much. Don’t worry, though, as we’ll show you how to pick a compatible SSD, locate the correct slot, and install the storage drive in your PC.

We will explain how to distinguish between the many SSD slots on a motherboard in this article because they each support a different SSD depending on the pin connectors. Your SSD won’t function unless it is inserted into the proper motherboard slot. Check out the linked page to learn more about the SATA and M.2 slots on your motherboard. Let’s move on to learning how to install M.2 and 2.5-inch SATA SSD in your PC now that that is out of the way.

Things to Remember Before Installing an SSD

Check SSD Compatibility with Motherboard

Up to a certain generation, NVMe SSDs are supported by every current motherboard. The majority of motherboards on the market now support NVMe Gen 4 SSDs. Additionally, Gen 3 is backwards compatible with these slots. Before continuing with the guide for installing an SSD, we advise you to configure M.2 slots in your BIOS. Here are your finest options if you’re looking to purchase an inexpensive SSD.

There are other SATA SSDs available in the 2.5-inch or M.2 form factors. The M.2 SATA SSD slot and the NVMe M.2 SSD slot are two different things. To confirm which M.2 slots you have accessible, see the instructions for your motherboard. Additionally, some motherboards now offer NVMe Gen 5 SSDs, which enable Ryzen 7000-series CPUs and Intel’s 13th Gen Raptor Lake CPUs (see Core i9-13900K review). These brand-new SSDs, nevertheless, are now in production and rather pricey.

Migrate or Install the Operating System

Have the installation disk for a new operating system handy, or be prepared to migrate your current OS. In our experience, cloning Windows partitions onto a fresh SSD can occasionally result in a few problems. The best course of action is to run a clean install of Windows 11 on your new SSD after backing up all of your data. In the event that you do need to save your OS partition and its contents, there are numerous OS migration programs out there.

Check for Required Power Cables

The motherboard of your computer is connected to the power supply (PSU) through a number of connectors. You will discover SATA power connectors among these connectors; you must have one ready before installing a 2.5-inch SATA SSD in your PC. You will also need a SATA cable, which is included in the motherboard box and is also sold online. These SATA power cables and connections have this appearance.

Gather the Necessary Tools

It should go without saying that you need a few key tools to install the SSD in your computer setup. You require a Philips Head screwdriver in this situation. Make sure you have the mounting screws, too. (provided with the motherboard for M.2 SSD or with the PC case for a 2.5-inch SATA SSD).

Before continuing, make sure your workspace is tidy and that all the necessary instruments are put away. To confirm a few elements that differ from board to board, you need have the motherboard handbook on available. Finally, to protect yourself against electrostatic injury, always ground yourself. Wearing an anti-static wrist bracelet is an excellent method to guarantee this.

How to Install M.2 SSD in Your PC

Remember to use a Philips Head screwdriver to remove the side panels of your PC case before moving forward with the SSD installation. At that point, you will have gained access to the motherboard’s ports. Additionally, don’t forget to access Windows 11’s BIOS and modify the settings to choose the correct NVMe SSD generation.

Installation Guide for M.2 NVMe SSD

1. Verify which M.2 slot on your motherboard supports the NVMe standard. Modern motherboards typically include multiple M.2 slots that can accommodate either a SATA M.2 SSD or an NVMe M.2 SSD, with separate slots for different NVMe generations. The final location to put our M.2 NVMe SSD will be indicated by the location of the NVME M.2 slots in your motherboard’s manual.

2. Remove any SSD heatsink covers that may be on your motherboard once you are certain of the best place to put your NVMe SSD.

3. After that, insert your SSD at a 45-degree angle into the motherboard’s NVMe M.2 slot.

4. After it has securely slid in place, apply pressure from the SSD’s other end. Your NVMe SSD will be firmly supported on top of the standoff that will be located beneath the M.2 slot. Ours had a standoff with a tool-free installation process; if anything seems strange, see your motherboard instructions.

5. Next, reinstall the heatsink cover over the NVMe SSD. The screw should now be aligned with the SSD and the standoff underneath. Reinstall the heatsink and then screw in the SSD.

6. That’s it, then. Your machine now has an NVME M.2 SSD installed, congratulations. You may now go to the step where we determine whether the SSD was correctly inserted and prepare it for use.

Installation Guide for M.2 SATA SSD

Furthermore, find out which M.2 slot on your motherboard supports SATA SSDs if you intend to install an extra M.2 SATA SSD or upgrade an existing one.

1. SATA SSDs are supported in dedicated M.2 slots on modern motherboards. These can be found in a variety of places, usually at the bottom. Which M.2 slot supports SATA SSDs may be found in the motherboard’s handbook.

2. You can now install the M.2 SATA SSD in the same manner as the NVMe SSD, as we previously explained. The only adjustment required is to make sure it is installed in the SATA M.2 port.

How to Install 2.5-inch SATA SSD in Your PC

1. Verify where the SATA slots are on your motherboard first. Now, use the SATA cable to attach to the motherboard’s SATA female connector on one side.

2. Next, find the location in your PC chassis where a 2.5-inch SATA SSD can be placed. Place your SSD there after that, and fasten it with the case screws that are included for mounting drives in the storage bay. This procedure requires the use of a Philips Head Screwdriver.

3. After that, connect your SATA cable’s other end to the SATA SSD and the SATA Power Connector. To locate the SATA power connectors, follow the cords of your power source.

4. You’ve now mastered the technique for putting a 2.5-inch SATA SSD in your computer. However, there are still a few tasks left for you to complete. You must check to see if your new SSD is detected by going into the BIOS. The SSD must then be formatted in order for it to be usable.

Confirm Your New SSD Is Installed Correctly

In order to access the BIOS settings, restart your computer and constantly press the Delete or F2 key. Your computer’s first boot-up screen will also direct you to the appropriate BIOS entry button. To acquire information on the same, you can either visit the maker of your motherboard’s website or consult the manual.

The numerous storage devices connected to your motherboard can be seen in the BIOS settings under the “Disk or Storage Information” section. Here, the BIOS will display the name, type (SATA or NVMe), and capacity of your SSD.

Make Your New SSD Ready for Use

Users who are utilizing an existing boot drive to upgrade their PC should first log into Windows. A pop-up will appear once a new SSD has been installed asking you to format the drive before using it. If you do, all you have to do is format the drive using the pop-up, and your drive will be usable.

This is how you format a new SSD and verify its presence in Windows 11 in case the pop-up does not appear. By pressing the “Win” key, bring up the Start Menu. Type “Create and format hard disk partitions.” The disk management tool can then be accessed by clicking the search result.

To find your new drive, scroll down to the drives list and look for the designation “Unallocated Space.” To get the option that will let you create a new volume, right-click the SSD listing. Use this wizard to format the new SSD in Windows 11 when you’ve completed it.

Frequently Asked Questions

2. Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 series

Samsung dominates Android smartwatches. Thus, the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro are Nepal’s top smartwatches. It improves on 2021’s Watch 4 lineup with a few minor changes. The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic’s renowned physical bezel is gone this time.

The Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro use a digital bezel for faster UI navigation. However, the Pro model’s higher edges make using the digital bezel easier. The Watch 5 Pro is also stronger. First, its huge 590mAh battery can last 80 hours with moderate use. The Watch 5 Pro lasted roughly 2.5 days with heavy use.

“Track Back” provides directions to your initial path without needing to memorize anything. The Watch 5 Pro comes with a D-Buckle Sport band. It’s slimmer than the Galaxy Watch 5’s sport band. The Watch 5 Pro’s Titanium shell is stronger than Samsung’s Armor Aluminum case. This is a 1.2 or 1.4′′ Super AMOLED display. Samsung claims Sapphire crystal glass protects them better than Gorilla Glass DX/DX+ on the Watch 4 range. The Exynos W920 CPU with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB storage powers the Watch 5 range.

This smartwatch is durable.

The Apple Watch Ultra will benefit professional endurance athletes. Its dual-frequency L1 and L5 GPS compatibility is remarkable. The Apple Watch Ultra tracked our path in Kathmandu’s busy urban areas better than Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.

The “Compass Waypoints” and “Backtrack” features make trekking easier. Health tracking with Apple Watch Ultra is also good. It tracks heart rate, sleep, stress, SpO2, and ovulation, and its temperature sensor provides sophisticated cycle monitoring and ovulation estimates. Apple Watch Ultra safety features include car crash detection. It has an 86dB emergency siren you may activate. The Watch Ultra’s battery is also impressive. Although it’s not as good as Amazfit or Huawei smartwatches, it can last 3 days with regular use, about twice as long as a regular Apple Watch.

5. Amazfit GTR 4 and GTS 4

The Amazfit GTR 4 and GTS 4 are our fifth-best smartwatches in Nepal. These premium smartwatches have more features than the tough “T-Rex” series. Amazfit smartwatches boast a luxury look, great battery life, and several health and fitness tracking capabilities. Besides their form factors, these two have similar features.

The GTR 4’s larger body improves battery life, but otherwise there’s no difference. The flagship smartwatch experience is the same on both circular and square watch dials. Despite having a larger battery, these smartwatches have inferior battery endurance than the GTR 3 and GTS 3.

Amazfit’s BioTracker 4.0 PPG biometric sensor may take 33% more data for better heart rate, stress, and blood oxygen level assessments. 4th-generation smartwatches increase sleep tracking. The GTR 4 and GTS 4 now monitor breathing rate in addition to SpO2, REM sleep, and other data.

“One-tap measurement” is another cool smartwatch feature. This lets you take heart rate, stress, SpO2, and breathing rate values with a tap instead of individually. Amazfit GTR 4 and GTS 4 track over 150 exercise modes. Their built-in GPS was great too. Amazfit’s Zepp OS 2.0 powers both smartwatches. Zepp OS 2.0 strikes a great blend between a sleek, fast software experience and good battery life. Amazfit’s app store has some handy mini-apps this time. “Notify for Maps,” a watered-down Google Maps, was the most beneficial.

Amazfit GTR 4 and GTS 4 Specifications:

  • Body: Aluminum alloy frame
    • GTR 4: 46 x 46 x 10.6 mm, 34 gm
    • GTS 4: 42.7 x 36.5 x 9.9 mm, 27 gm

6. Amazfit T-Rex 2

This outdoor-ready smartwatch is tough. It boasts a huge, burly design and all the durability features you can want. Amazfit T-Rex 2 has passed 15 military-grade tests (MIL-STD-810G) and is guaranteed to perform at -30°C!

The first-generation Amazfit T-Rex had 5 ATM water resistance, while this one has 10 ATM. It can handle 100-meter-deep water pressure! Dual-band GPS with 6 satellites is also included. Traditional smartwatches only support L1 GPS, which is susceptible to signal interference from tall trees, buildings, and other structures. T-Rex 2’s dual-band GPS with L5 compatibility will improve navigational positioning.

This smartwatch can also import GPX files for hiking, cycling, and other workout trails. If you get lost on a walk or other emergency, Amazfit T-Rex 2 can propose the fastest route back to the start. The T-Rex 2 boasts a 1.39-inch OLED screen with 1000 nits of peak brightness for outdoor visibility. This robust smartwatch has great battery life. Amazfit claims it lasts 24 days under normal use and 10 days under intensive use. The T-Rex 2 can last 26 hours with GPS accuracy mode activated! However, its 500mAh battery takes over 2 hours to charge.

This fitness tracker and outdoor smartwatch is wonderful. It recognizes certain strength training exercises automatically. Customize warm-up/warm-down, training interval, and more to build individualized training exercises for 11 sports.
