Coolpad Cool S Launched in Nepal; Specifications, Price & Availability

After the huge success of  Coolpad N7 Plus and  Coolpad Cool 6, Chinese brand Coolpad has launched a new smartphone only in Nepal namely “Coolpad Cool S“.

Coolpad Cool S is a mid-range smartphone that comes with a 5000mh battery and a modern-looking punch-hole display at the front. Let’s find out some interesting spec-sheet features, availability, and price of Coolpad Cool S in Nepal.

Design and Display

Coolpad Cool S features a dual-glass design(Front & Back) that comes with a 6.53-inch IPS LCD HD+ full-screen panel with a punch hole at the top left corner up front. The back panel of the device consists of an L-shaped camera design at the top-left corner of the rear panel housing a quad camera setup. 

The company has kept a fingerprint sensor in an unusual place i.e on the left side of the device which is a bit weird. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

Camera

For rear cameras, the phone comes with a quad-camera setup with a 48MP f/1.8 Samsung GM1 Sensor, an 8MP f/2.0 ultra-wide with 120-degree FOV, a 5MP macro lens, and a 0.3MP depth sensor. The 5MP macro lens can cover a distance of up to 2cm for macro shots. The Quad Camera Setup features AI technology. Due to the AI feature, you can capture good quality photos and record videos. 

On the front, it comes with a 25MP Sony IMX576 sensor selfie camera housed inside a tiny punch-hole cutout in the top left corner of the display. Moving on to the video, You also can record 1080p videos at 30fps by both the Rear and Front Cameras of the device.

Performance and Battery

Coolpad Cool S comes with Mediatek Helio P60 SoC supporting by octa-core CPU with 4 cortex A73 cores at 2.1Ghz and 4 cortex A53 cores clocked at 2.0Ghz. The device also can handle heavy graphics work due to the presence of the ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. Its runs on the Android 10 operating system. Coolpad Cool S comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Aditionally, the storage is expandable up to 256GB via microSD slot.

Moving to the battery, Coolpad Cool S is backed up by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W fast charging.

In terms of connectivity, the device support Bluetooth 5.0, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, GLONASS, dual-SIM, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C 1.0 Reversible connector. 

The company has included various features in the device like a Fingerprint sensor, Light sensor, Proximity sensor, G- sensor, Accelerometer, Face Recognition, and Magnetic Sensor.

The smartphone is launched in three color variants – Night Black, Lapis Blue, and Moon White. But in Nepal, only two color variants are available now – Night Black and Lapis Blue.
