After all rumors and teasers, Samsung has officially launched Its Samsung Galaxy S21 series on January 14, 2021. Samsung Galaxy S21, S21Plus, and S21 Ultra are going to be the most premium model in the upcoming Galaxy S series. Now Samsung has started pre-booking for all of its S21 series from the 22nd of Jan till 2nd Feb, 2021. Samsung Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, and S21 Ultra Overviews
Design and Display
Starting with the display, Samsung Galaxy S21 and S21 plus come with 6.2-inch and 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O display where both devices feature an aspect ratio of 20:9. The Galaxy S21 and S21+ pack with flat displays of different diagonal. the peak brightness of the devices at 1300 nits which are slightly lower than S21 Ultra(1500nits).
Coming to Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, it has a 6.80-inch touchscreen Dynamic AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440×3220 Pixels. Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra comes with a 120Hz refresh rate and has a peak brightness of 1500 nits. The display and back panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The device will available in different colors variant such as Phantom – Black, Silver, Titanium, Navy, Brown.
You can also use an S-pen on this device. But you have to buy a separate folio case for this one.
Camera
S21 and S21 Plus have an identical camera setup – triple camera setup where 12MP(wide sensor) is a primary shooter that supports Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Dual Pixel PDAF, 12MP sensor for capturing ultra-wide angle shots And the last one is a 64MP telephoto lens with an optical zoom of up to 3x.
On the front, there is a single selfie camera of 10MP housed under the punch-hole camera.
Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra
The device comes with a quad-camera setup on the rear a having 108MP Primary Sensor, a 12MP Ultra Wide Angle Sensor,f/2.2, a 10MP Telephoto Sensor with 10x optical zoom, and another 10MP camera with 3x optical zoom. . It also got different features like HDR mode, Face Detection, Continuous shooting, Auto Flash, etc.
The front camera has a 40MP sensor that is capable of capturing stunning self-portraits.
Performance and memory
Samsung S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra come with two variants of the chipset – Exynos 2100 chipset and Snapdragon 888 chipset. South Korea, the USA, and China will get phones with Snapdragon 888 where The rest of the global customers will get the Exynos 2100 variant.
Exynos 2100 is a 5nm processor with ARM’s X1 prime core clocked at up to 2.91 GHz alongside a trio of Cortex-A78 cores running at 2.8GHz and four power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores working at 2.21GHz. It also uses the ARM Mali-G78MP14 GPU.
On the software front, these devices run will OneUI 3.1 based on Android 11 out-of-the-box.
S21 and S21+ come with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. While S21 ultra is packed with 12/16 GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 256 GB internal storage.
Battery and Connectivity
Here, Galaxy S21 ultra-packed with a slightly bigger non-removable 500mAh battery compared to S21’s 4000mAh and S21 Plus 4800mAh. S21 and S21 Plus support 25W USB Power Delivery (PD) 3.0 fast charging. They also come with 15W wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging. Like Apple, Samsung has also removed the charger and headphones in the box.
Connectivity options in the Samsung Galaxy S21 ultra include Single/Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS / AGPS / Glonass / Galileo / BDS, USB Type-C, UWB, 4G LTE, 5G (sub-6GHz, mmWave).
