Honor has returned to the Nepali smartphone market after almost two years with Honor 50 Lite. This is a mid-range phone with Google Mobile Services. Here, we will dig into the specs, features, availability, and the official price of Honor 50 Lite in Nepal.

Display and Design
The Honor 50 Lite flaunts a 6.67-inch IPS LCD panel with 1080×2376-pixel resolution. Above the screen lies a pill-shaped camera cutout that holds the front-facing camera. There is a DCI-P3 color gamut alongside an 89.5% screen-to-body ratio. Likewise, the pixel density here measures 391. The phone can also adjust the colors based on the brightness for enhanced realistic colors.
The phone has a dimension of 161.8×74.7×8.5mm and weighs only 192 grams. Further, there is a 3D closed arc design that will help us for a better grip while using it. There are three color options available for the model – Midnight Black, Space Silver, and Deep-Sea Blue.
Performance and Memory
Under the hood, the device gets its power from Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset based on an 11nm manufacturing process. It integrates an octa-core CPU with Kryo 260 cores clocked at the speed of 2GHz. Likewise, the graphics depart is handled by Adreno 610 processor.
As per memory, there are two configurations – 6/128GB and 8/128GB. We are yet to know about which version will the Nepali market get. On the software front, the phone boots on Android 11 on top of Magic UI 4.3. We can even get Google Mobile Services (GMS) outside of China.

Moving on, there is a quad-camera set up inside a massive circular island on the back panel of Honor 50 Lite. There is a 65MP primary lens with an f/1.9 aperture and PDAF support. Likewise, an 8MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.4 aperture and 1200 field of view lies as a secondary one. Completing the setup are two 2MP snappers with an f/2.4 aperture each for macro and portrait shots respectively. The island also holds a LED flash for better night shots.
Upfront, there is a 16MP selfie snapper with an f/2.0 aperture lying inside the pill-shaped camera cutout as mentioned earlier. Here, both back and front cameras can record up to 1080p videos at the rate of 30 frames per second. Furthermore, there is a loudspeaker system for audio. You can also use the 3.5mm headphone jack for music and calls.

Fueling the device is a non-removable Li-Po 4,300mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. Honor also claims to charge 0-40% in just ten minutes. For biometrics, there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a software-based face unlock system.
Other sensors include an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass. Furthermore, there is Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS (A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS), region-dependent NFC, and USB Type-C 2.0.
