As we know, iQOO is a sub-brand of Vivo and it has finally unveiled its flagship phones. There are iQOO 9, 9 Pro, and the Legend Editions of these models. The phones have made their way to the Indian market. Here, we will look at the specs, features, availability, and the expected price of the iQOO 9 & 9 Pro in Nepal.
iQOO 9, 9 Pro Overview
Display and Design
The new iQOO 9 & 9 Pro flaunts a 6.78-inch E5 AMOLED screen with curved edges around the display. Because of the LTPO panel, you can have a flexible refresh rate of 1Hz to 120Hz. The 9 Pro also has a 10-bit color depth panel alongside a 2K panel. The amazing feature of the phone is that it has a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor that takes only 0.2 seconds for the phone to unlock.
There is a big camera bump at the back of the iQOO 9 & 9 Pro. It will be easy to say that the bump is referenced from Vivo X70 Pro Plus’s Ceramic Camera Window. Further, the phone has a textured finished back in two different color variations – Orange and Legend Edition. The latter has a tri-color racing stripe that represents the company’s collaboration with BMW motors.
Performance and Memory
Powering the device is Qualcomm’s latest flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 based on a 4nm fabrication process. There is an integrated octa-core (1×3.00 GHz Cortex-X2 & 3×2.50 GHz Cortex-A710 & 4×1.80 GHz Cortex-A510) CPU coupled with Adreno 730 graphics processor. Likewise, the phone runs on Android 12 on top of Origin OS Ocean.
As per memory, there are three different configurations in the 9 Pro – 8/256GB, 12/256GB, and 12/512GB of UFS 3.1. In 9, the 12/512GB is replaced by 8/128GB. Unfortunately, there is no microSD card slot to extend the internal storage. Moreover, there is a waterfall VC (Vapor Chamber) heat conduction system that keeps the temperature of the phone in check.
Camera and Audio
Under the hood, there is a triple camera setup with a 50MP primary lens which uses Samsung’s GN5 with a 1/1.57-inch sensor size. The lens supports PDAF and gimbals OIS. It also has a 50MP ultrawide sensor with a 150-degree field of view. This means it is in together with Realme GT 2 Pro in camera perspective. Completing the setup is a 16MP telephoto portrait lens that has 2.5x optical zoom and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Further, there is a micro-head gimbal system by Vivo for stabilization.
Upfront, there is a 16MP selfie shooter with an f/2.5 aperture. While the back camera can record up to 8K videos at 30 frames per second, the front camera limits up to 1080p. Similarly, there are dual-speakers for audio that emits 32-bit/384kHz audio. Unfortunately, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack for music and calls.
Rest of the specs
Fueling the device is a medium 4,700mAh dual-cell battery with 120W FlashCharge technology. According to the brand, it only takes 13 minutes to charge fully from 0 to 100%. Moreover, there is a 50W wireless charging support and 10W reverse wireless as well. The phone comes with a 120W GaN (Gallium Nitride) charger with PowerDelivery 3.0 and Programmable Power Supply (PPS) charging.
