Infinix has listed a new smartphone in its Hot series – Infinix Hot 12. It was announced with two other smartphones – Infinix Note 12 and Infinix Smart 6 HD. We are yet to be informed about the availability of the Infinix Hot 12, but we will discuss its specs, features, and expected price in Nepal.
Infinix Hot 12 Overview
Display and Design
The new Hot-series installment here brings a 6.82-inch IPS LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. It boasts a 720×1612-pixels capacity alongside a 259-pixel density. Above the screen, there is a center-aligned punch-hole cutout to hold the front-facing camera. Previously, there was a waterdrop notch in its predecessors. This means the design is a bit upgraded. However, it is the compensation for the HD+ screen instead of FHD+ like on its previous installments on the Hot series.
The body weighs 195 grams and embeds a dimension of 170.5×77.6×8.3mm. Both frame and the rear panel are made up of plastic, but the front is glass-made. Then, the back features a rectangular camera bump as well. There are four color options available for the phone – Origin Blue, Lucky Green, Racing Black, and Legend White.
Performance and Memory
Powering the device is the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset based on a 12nm fabrication process. It integrates an octa-core CPU with two Cortex-A75 and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at the speed of 2.0GHz and 1.8GHz respectively. Likewise, the graphics depart is handled by Arm’s Mali-G52 MC2 processor.
Over to the software front, the device boots on Android 12 on top of XOS 10.6. There is a single memory configuration of 6/128GB available for the device. You can expand the internal storage up to 512GB via a dedicated microSD card slot and the RAM up to 11GB via the virtual RAM technology.
Camera and Audio
Under the hood, there is a triple camera setup led by a 13MP primary lens of an f/1.8 aperture and Auto-Focus support. Likewise, there is a 2MP auxiliary sensor and an AI lens as well. The camera bump also holds a Dual-LED flash for better night shots.
Further, there is an 8MP front-facing camera on the punch hole cutout above the screen. It also brings a Dual-LED flash. Both rear and front cameras can record 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. For audio, there is a loudspeaker system with dual speakers which is then accompanied by a 3.5mm headphone jack for music and calls.
Battery and Extras
Moving on, the device gets its fuel from a non-removable Li-Ion 5,00mAh battery cell with an 18W fast charging capacity. You can use the side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometrics which is followed by a software-based face unlock as well. Other sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, and compass.
Lastly, there is Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth, and GPS (A-GPS) for wireless connectivity.
