iQOO has now unveiled a new smartphone in the Chinese market. It succeeds to iQOO U3 and is a mid-ranged phone for you. Here, we will look at the specs, features, availability, and the expected price of iQOO U5 in Nepal.
iQOO U5 Overview
Display and Design
The new iQOO U5 flaunts a 6.58-inch IPS display with Full HD+ resolution. It boasts a high refresh rate of 120Hz and has a waterdrop notch above the screen. The boxy appearance of the phone highly resembles the newly launched Vivo S12.
There is an iQOO branding at the bottom back of the device while the top part has a rectangular camera island. You can choose from three colors for the phone – Phantom, Dark Black, and Silver White.
Performance and Memory
Powering the device is Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset based on a 6nm fabrication process. It integrates an octa-core CPU while being teamed up with Adreno 619 graphics processor. Likewise, you have a five-layer liquid cooling system for better performance.
As per memory, you can get three configurations – 4/128GB, 6/128GB, and 8/128GB of UFS 2.2 respectively. You can also expand your internal storage up to 256GB via a dedicated microSD card slot. On the software front, there is Android 11 running on top of OriginOS Ocean.
Camera
Under the hood, there is a dual-camera setup on the iQOO U5. It has a 50MP primary lens teamed up with a 2MP sensor for macro shots. Upfront, there is an 8MP selfie snapper lying inside a waterdrop notch above the screen. The camera has Super Night Scene Mode which is not available on the 4GB RAM model.

Fueling the phone is a massive 5,000mAh battery cell with 18W fast charging support. The charging is done via a USB Type-C port which can also be used for data transfer purposes. Moreover, there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometrics. For audio, there is a Hi-Res Audio and a 3.5mm headphone jack for calls and so on.
