Motorola has unveiled a new smartphone in the market named Moto G Stylus. This succeeds last year’s Moto G Stylus. As the name itself suggests, the handset comes with a stylus to help you with easier navigation. Moto G Stylus 2022 Overview
Display and Design
The new Moto G Stylus 2022 sports a 6.8-inch Max Vision IPS LCD screen with a 90Hz of refresh rate. Though the screen size is the same, its refresh rate has been upgraded from G Stylus. The brand ships the model with a slot at the bottom to slide in the stylus. The stylus uses My UX which lets us have some additional features to leverage it. You can easily edit the screenshots or even save notes with the help of the Moto Note app that comes pre-installed on the phone.
The phone measures 9.45mm and weighs 216 grams even though its body is made from plastics. Further, there is no official IP rating mentioned for water and dust resistivity but the brand claims that the phone is water repellent. There are two color options – Twilight Blue and Metallic Rose.
Performance and Memory
Under the hood, G Stylus 2022 gets its power from MediaTek Helio G88 based on a 12nm fabrication process. This is a little downgrade from last year’s G Stylus since it had snapdragon 480. The processor integrates Cortex-A55 cores clocked at the speed of 1.8GHz.
As per memory, there is a single configuration of 6/128GB memory. You can also expand the internal storage up to 512GB with the help of a dedicated microSD card slot.
Camera
Moving on, there is a triple camera setup on the G Stylus 2022. There is a 50MP primary lens with an f/1.9 aperture and an 8MP ultrawide camera. Completing the setup is a 2MP sensor for portrait shots. The ultrawide camera also works as a double for a macro shooter. Upfront, there is a 16MP selfie snapper lying inside the punch-hole camera cutout above the screen.
Rest of the specs
Fueling the device is a massive 5,000mAh battery cell with a 10W charging capacity. For security, there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a software-based face unlock system. Other sensors include an accelerometer, gyro, and proximity.
