Motorola has hinted to launch a new smartphone – Moto G31 in the Nepali market. We got to see the G9 Play before and now we might soon get the G31 as well. In this post, we will talk about the specs, features, availability, and the expected price of the Moto G31 in Nepal.
Moto G31 Overview
Display and Design
The Motorola Moto G31 flaunts a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution with a “Max Vision” panel. It boasts a 60Hz refresh rate alongside 1080×2400-pixel capacity and 411-pixel density. Further, it has an 82.7% screen-to-body ratio and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Above the screen, there is a center-aligned punch-hole cutout to hold the front-facing camera.
The body weighs 181 grams and measures 8.6mm in thickness. The body has a water-repellent design with all plastic-made bodies. There are two color options available for the device – Baby Blue and Mineral Gray.
Performance and Memory
Under the hood, G31 is powered up with MediaTek Helio G85 chipset based on a 12nm manufacturing process. It brings two Cortex-A75 and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at the speed of 2.0GHz and 1.8GHz respectively. For graphics, there is Arm’s Mali-G52 MC2 processor. In addition, you can see MediaTek’s in-house HyperEngine technology to maintain effective resources while you play the games.
As per memory, there are two configurations – 4/64GB and 6/128GB. You can also expand the internal storage using the SIM slot in the device. Moreover, the device boots on Android 11 on top of My UX.
Camera and Audio
Over to the optical front, there is a triple camera setup led by a 50MP primary lens with f/1.8 aperture and PDAF support. It is then followed by an 8MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture, 118-degree field of view, and 1.12-microns pixel capacity. Completing the setup is a 2MP camera with an f/2.4 aperture for macro shots. It is also accompanied by a LED flash for better night shots.
Upfront is a 13MP selfie snapper with f/2.2 aperture and 1.12-microns pixel capacity. Both rear and front cameras can record videos up to 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second. And for audio, there is a loudspeaker system teamed up with a 3.5mm headphone jack for more private music and calls. The former has a single down-firing speaker with Dolby Atmos support.
Rest of the specs
Fueling the device is a massive non-removable Li-Po 5,000mAh battery to provide you with up to 36 hours of endurance time. However, it only supports 10W charging which is a little disappointing. For biometrics, there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner followed by a software-based face unlock.
Other sensors include an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass. Moreover, there is Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS (A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO), NFC, and USB Type-C 2.0.
