Oppo Find N goes official: The first-ever foldable Oppo phone

Oppo has now officially entered the market of foldable phones with Oppo Find N. It now competes with Royole, Samsung, Huawei, and Xiaomi in the market. The Chief Product Officer of Oppo mentioned that this is the product of 4 years of R&D and 6 generations of prototypes. He also shared that this foldable phone is designed in such a way that it looks amazing and is very easy to use as well. In this post, we will look at the specs, features, availability, and the expected price of Oppo Find N in Nepal.

Oppo Find N Overview

Display and Design

Starting with the design, the new Oppo Find N sports a 5.49-inch at the front. The screen is AMOLED with Full HD resolution and 60Hz of standard refresh rate. It gets its protection from Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. This means the Oppo Find N is very compact than Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3. Probably the reason why it is cheaper than the Z Fold 3.

When the phone unfolds, there is a 7.1-inch E5 AMOLED display with 2K resolution. There is an Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) layer that lies above a thin metal base aiding the screen’s durability. Oppo claims to have passed the TÜV Rheinland test of 2,00,000 folds and unfolds without crease respectively. It boasts 800 nits of peak brightness alongside an LTPO panel which has a flexible refresh rate of 120Hz. However, there is no IP certification for the phone and neither is there stylus input support.

Moving on to design, there is a water drop style hinge which is called “Seiko pseudo-vertical hinge”. It is much more advanced than the traditional U-shaped hinge. This makes the crease unnoticeable without a gap when folded.

Powering the device is Qualcomm SM8350 Snapdragon 888 5G based on a 5nm fabrication process. This was the flagship processor from Qualcomm in 2020. It integrates an octa-core (1×2.84 GHz Kryo 680 & 3×2.42 GHz Kryo 680 & 4×1.80 GHz Kryo 680) CPU coupled with Adreno 660 graphics processor.
