Oppo has now officially entered the market of foldable phones with Oppo Find N. It now competes with Royole, Samsung, Huawei, and Xiaomi in the market. The Chief Product Officer of Oppo mentioned that this is the product of 4 years of R&D and 6 generations of prototypes. He also shared that this foldable phone is designed in such a way that it looks amazing and is very easy to use as well. In this post, we will look at the specs, features, availability, and the expected price of Oppo Find N in Nepal.
Oppo Find N Overview
Display and Design
Starting with the design, the new Oppo Find N sports a 5.49-inch at the front. The screen is AMOLED with Full HD resolution and 60Hz of standard refresh rate. It gets its protection from Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. This means the Oppo Find N is very compact than Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3. Probably the reason why it is cheaper than the Z Fold 3.
When the phone unfolds, there is a 7.1-inch E5 AMOLED display with 2K resolution. There is an Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) layer that lies above a thin metal base aiding the screen’s durability. Oppo claims to have passed the TÜV Rheinland test of 2,00,000 folds and unfolds without crease respectively. It boasts 800 nits of peak brightness alongside an LTPO panel which has a flexible refresh rate of 120Hz. However, there is no IP certification for the phone and neither is there stylus input support.
Moving on to design, there is a water drop style hinge which is called “Seiko pseudo-vertical hinge”. It is much more advanced than the traditional U-shaped hinge. This makes the crease unnoticeable without a gap when folded.
Performance and Memory
Powering the device is Qualcomm SM8350 Snapdragon 888 5G based on a 5nm fabrication process. This was the flagship processor from Qualcomm in 2020. It integrates an octa-core (1×2.84 GHz Kryo 680 & 3×2.42 GHz Kryo 680 & 4×1.80 GHz Kryo 680) CPU coupled with Adreno 660 graphics processor.
As per memory, there are two options – 8/256GB and 12/512GB of UFS 3.1. Likewise, there is Android 11 running on top of ColorOS 12.
Camera and Sound
The optical part of Oppo Find N flaunts a triple camera setup of a 50MP primary sensor. It has an f/1.8 aperture, 1.0-microns pixel capacity, omnidirectional PDAF, and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Accompanying it is a 13MP telephoto lens of f/2.4 aperture, 1.0-microns pixel capacity, 2x optical zoom, and PDAF support. Completing the setup is a 16MP ultrawide camera of f/2.2 aperture and a 123-degrees field of view. You can record 4K videos at 30 frames per second and 1080p videos at 30/60/240 frames per second. It also has the support of gyro-EIS and HDR. The module also holds a dual-LED dual-tone flash for better night shots and lights.
There are two 32MP cameras on the caver and main display. They both have f/2.4 aperture and 0.8-microns pixel capacity. They can shoot 1080p videos at 30fps and has gyro-EIS support. For sound, there is a loudspeaker system with stereo speakers. Unfortunately, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack.
Rest of the Specs
The new Oppo Find N gets is fuel from a medium 4,500mAh battery cell with 33W fast charging which lies in a dual-cell configuration. Moreover, it has dual-band 4G LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C, GPS, and NFC for connectivity. Finally, there is a physical side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a software-based face unlock system.
