POCO X3 Pro is popular among smartphone users in Nepal. And now the brand has launched POCO X4 Pro 5G in the global market. However, this is just the rebranded global variant of the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. The only thing different is the POCO branding. Here, we will dig into the specs, features, availability, and the expected price of POCO X4 Pro 5G in Nepal.
POCO X4 Pro 5G Overview
Design and Display
POCO X4 Pro 5G flaunts a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 1080×2400-pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Above the screen is a center-aligned punch-hole cutout that holds the selfie camera. Likewise, the aspect ratio and the PPI density approximately measures 20:9 and 395 respectively. It supports HDR10 content with 700 nits of typical brightness and 1200 nits of peak brightness. Also, the screen gets its protection from Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The X4 Pro 5G weighs 205 grams and embeds 164.2×76.1×8.1mm of dimension. It features a boxy design around its glass-built body and can survive minor water splashes since it has received IP53 certification. There is a rectangular camera module along the whole width of the device instead of the circular one in X3 Pro. Besides this, the rear panel has 2.5D glass with a lighting effect going from the bottom of the device. Further, there are three color variations for the phone – Laser Black, Laser Blue, and POCO Yellow.
Performance and Memory
Powering the device is Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 based on a 6nm manufacturing process. It integrates two Kryo 660 Gold and six Kryo 660 Silver cores clocked at the speed of 2.2GHz and 1.7GHz respectively. Likewise, the graphics are handled by Adreno 619 processor. The silicone here supports a total of 12 5G bands. Before, there was a more advanced Snapdragon 860 on X3 Pro.
On the software front, the phone boots on Android 11 on top of MIUI 13 for POCO. There are two memory configurations for the device – 6/128GB and 8/256GB of UFS 2.2. You can also expand the internal storage with the help of a microSD card slot shared with a SIM slot.
Camera and Audio
Under the hood, the POCO X4 Pro 5G packs a triple camera setup. It has a 108MP ISOCELL HM2 main camera with f/1.9 aperture, 0.7microns pixel capacity, and dual-pixel PDAF support. Likewise, there is an 8MP ultrawide lens with a 120degrees field of view and a 2MP telephoto macro shooter with f/2.4 aperture. They can shoot HDR and panorama pictures while the video resolution is up to 1080p at 30/60 frames per second. The module also holds an LED flash for better shots.
Upfront, there is a 16MP selfie snapper that can shoot 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. As per audio, it has a dual-speaker setup with Hi-Res audio for the loudspeaker which emits 24-bit/192kHz audio. Moreover, it also supports 3.5mm headphones. Further, there is a Z-axis linear motor for haptics and vibrations.
Rest of the specs
The device gets its fuel from a non-removable Li-Po 5,00mAh battery cell with a 67W turbo-charging capacity. According to POCO, it takes approximately 41-42 minutes for a full charge. For biometrics, there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a software-based face unlock. Other sensors include an accelerometer, gyro, and compass.
Lastly, there are connectivity options as Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS (A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS), and NFC. In addition, it also integrates an infrared blaster. Likewise, there is USB Type-C 2.0 for charging and data transfer purpose.
