The world’s largest smartphone manufacturer Samsung is back with a handset namely Samsung Galaxy A10s with a low price range offering great battery backup and latest software experience. Not everyone needs a powerful device. Sometimes an average performing low price device can be the one for some peoples.
Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A10s on the Galaxy A line of smartphones on 23rd September 2019 in Nepal. Galaxy A10s has an affordable price tag of Rs 16,790, which is available in 3 attractive colours Blue, Green and Black. Considering the needs of today’s generation Samsung has designed Galaxy A10s.
Overview
Samsung Galaxy A10s has a plastic body so there might be a big question regarding the durability of the device. It weighs around 168gm and has the dimension 156.9*75.8*7.8mm. On the right side, there is a physical power button and on the left side, there are volume rockers. SIM slot supports dual SIMs as well as an SD card reader for external storage.
Top of the device has a microphone and the bottom has speaker grill, a 3.5mm jack along with a micro USB port. At the back, there are two cameras aligned vertically with a physical fingerprint scanner, which is supposed to be accurate most of the time and gives a new way of unlocking the device.
Display & Design
Talking about the screen, Samsung Galaxy A10s offers a 6.2-inch HD+ Infinity-V display. It is an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a nice viewing angle. The colour productions and contrast of this screen give immersive visual experience to the users. As we already know that Samsung produces high-quality display panels.
There is Infinity-V display at the top of the screen for the front camera. It has ~80.7% screen to body ratio and resolution of 720*1520 pixel (~271 PPI density). The screen should be good enough to watch videos, play games, read articles and surf the internet.
Camera
The dual-camera at the back of the device with a 13MP (f/1.8) wide sensor and 2 MP (f/2.4) depth sensor can take good photos and features LED flash, panorama, HDR and video up-to 1080p@30fps. We can take portrait photos using the lenses and there is a live focus mode as well.

At the front, a single 8MP (f/2.0) sensor is given for taking selfies and unlocking the device using face unlock.
CPU and Performance
Samsung Galaxy A10s comes with Android 9.0 (Pie). As it comes under budget segment, 12nm Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 has been provided. The CPU is a lag-free Octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53. And for the GPU, PowerVR GE8320 has been provided, which is capable of handling the tasks easily and also can handle light games. The processor comes with enhanced security features.
Memory and Storage
The phone comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal and can be increased using a dedicated slot. Even though the RAM doesn’t seem enough, Samsung Galaxy A10s doesn’t come with unnecessary pre-installed applications. So the performance on the device is smooth
Battery
One of the interesting features of this device is that it has a huge battery i.e. 4000 mAh. It is a non-removable Li-Po battery which can last long with normal usage. The phone is useful for both work and leisure, the powerful battery allows uninterrupted streaming, gaming, live broadcasting and more.

Conclusion
Even at this low price range, it is surprising that Samsung offers Bluetooth 5.0 which has a wide range and good connectivity, sensors like (accelerometer, proximity) and a good Wi-Fi card. Also, Samsung Galaxy A10s has active noise cancellation with dedicated mic.
This time Samsung has done a great job for providing a budget-friendly device with exciting features.
