Samsung has announced a new phone in its A-series – Galaxy A13. The phone is the revised version of last year’s Galaxy A12 and resembles many features from another A-series smartphone announced a week ago – Galaxy A23. In this post, we will talk about the specs, features, availability, and the expected price of the Samsung Galaxy A13 in Nepal.

Samsung Galaxy A13 Overview

Design and Display

Samsung Galaxy A13 sports a 6.6-inch TFT screen with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080×2408-pixels. It boasts an 83.2% screen-to-body ratio and 400 PPI density. Above the screen, there is an Infinity-V notch that holds the front-facing camera. The display gets its protection from Corning Gorilla Glass.

Camera modules of the phone are emerging straight out from the plastic-made rear panel. Likewise, the frame that embeds the body is also made up of plastic. It measures 8.8mm in dimension and weighs 195 grams only. It is available in four color options – Black, White, Peach, and Blue.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood, the phone boots on Android 12 on top of One UI 4.1. The system is powered up with an Exynos 850 octa-core CPU clocked at the maximum speed of 2.2GHz. It comes in three memory configurations – 3/32GB, 4/64GB, and 6/128GB of eMMC 5.1. You can also expand the internal storage up to 512GB via a dedicated microSD card slot.

Camera and Audio

Over to the optical front, there is a quad-camera setup on the rear panel of the Galaxy A13. It is led by a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and PDAF support. Then, it is accompanied by a 5MP ultrawide lens whose field of view is yet to be known. Further, the setup is completed with two 2MP lenses for macro and portrait shots respectively. Upfront, there is an 8MP selfie shooter with an f/2.2 aperture. It lies inside the Infinity-V notch we discussed earlier. Both front and back cameras can record videos up to 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second.

As per audio, there is a loudspeaker system for clear sound. You can also use the 3.5mm headphone jack for music and calls.

Rest of the specs

Fueling the Galaxy A13 is a 5,000mAh battery with a 25W fast charging capacity. However, Samsung hasn’t included any compatible chargers in the box. The device has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometrics and we are yet to know about other additional sensors. For connectivity, there is Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS (A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS), and USB Type- 2.0.
