Samsung has unveiled the new Galaxy Z Fold 3 alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 3, Galaxy Buds 2, and Galaxy Watch 4 series in Nepal. Display and Design
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 features a 7.5-inch Foldable Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz of adaptive refresh rate. The screen is protected by the Gorilla Glass Victus and boasts a resolution of 2208×1768 pixels. It supports HDR10+ content with an excellent experience.
The cover screen has a 6.2-inch HD+ panel with a 2268×832 resolution. There is a center-aligned punch-hole cutout in the cover while the main screen flaunts an under-display camera setup. The screen can resist 80% scratches and supports S-pen as well.
Like the Galaxy Z Flip 3, and Armor Aluminum frame protects the parts and makes them more durable. Further, it is IPX8 certified for water resistivity. Lastly, there is a pill-shaped camera module with a triple camera sensor and a LED flash. As per color configurations, there are three – Phantom Black, Phantom Green, and Phantom Silver.
Performance and Memory
Powering the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 based on a 5nm manufacturing process. There is an octa-core CPU clocked at the maximum speed of 2.84GHz. In the graphics factor, there is Adreno 660 processor for an enhanced experience.
Moving on, you can get 12GB LPDDR5x RAM teamed with either 256GB or 512GB internal storage of UFS 3.1. Likewise, the handset has Android 11 running on top of One UI 3.5 on the software front.
Camera
Let’s move on to optics, there is a triple camera setup inside the pill-shaped module as mentioned before. The 12MP primary sensor has an f/1.8 aperture and Dual Pixel PDAF. Others are a 12MP ultrawide lens of 123 degrees field of view and a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. The first and the last one sports Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
For the selfie shooter, there is a 10MP lens of f/2.2 aperture. As mentioned above, there is a 4P snapper under the display of the main screen.
