Vivo has now launched a new smartphone Vivo Y01 following the other two recently launched smartphones – Y33s and V23 5G. Among these models, the Y01 is the one with the lowest price range. Here, we will look at the specs, features, availability, and the official price of the Vivo Y01 in Nepal.
Vivo Y01 Overview
Display and Design
Beginning with the design, the Vivo Y01 brings a plastic frame that embeds a glass front and a plastic back. Here, the back has a 3D curve and features some textured stripes that make the phone looks very aesthetic. The body weighs 178 grams and measures 8.3mm in thickness. You can see it in two color options – Elegant Black and Sapphire Blue.
There is a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display in the device with HD+ resolution. Above the screen, there is a waterdrop notch that holds the front-facing camera. It has a pixel capacity of 720×1600 and a pixel density of 270. Further, the screen has an Eye Protection Mode to filter out the harmful blue light.
Performance and Memory
Powering the device is a MediaTek Helio P35 chipset based on a 12nm fabrication process. This is a similar processor as the Helio G35 but without the HyperEngine gaming technology. There is an octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A53 (@2.35GHz) and four Cortex-A53 (1.8GHz) cores accompanied by a PowerVR GE8320 graphics processor.
Over to the software front, the device boots on the Go Edition Android 11 on top of Funtouch 11.1. As per the memory, there are two different configurations – 2/32GB and 3/32GB of eMMC 5.1. However, only the first option of 2/32GB is available in the Nepali market. Here, you can also expand your internal storage up to 256GB via a dedicated microSD card slot.
Camera and Audio
Moving on, there is a single camera on the back of Y01. It is an 8MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and the support for Auto Focus. The module also has an LED flash for better night shots. Further, it can record 1080p videos at the rate of 30 frames per second.
Upfront, there is a 5MP front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture. It lies inside the waterdrop notch above the screen. Likewise, there is a loudspeaker system for audio that couples with a 3.5mm headphone jack for music and calls.
Rest of the specs
Under the hood, there is a massive 5,000mAh battery with a 10W fast charging support. The charging is done via a micro USB 2.0 port that can also be used for data transfer and OTG purposes. Moreover, the biometrics is handled by a side-mounted fingerprint scanner followed by a software-based face unlock system.
Other sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, and compass. Likewise, there are connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS (A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO).
