Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 Overview

Display and Design

The Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 flaunts a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz of flexible refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate. It has Full HD resolution with a 10-bit panel that supports HDR10+ content and a contrast ratio of 5000000:1. There is also a High Brightness Mode (HBM) adaptable up to 800 nits. In addition, the screen is protected by the Gorilla Glass Victus.

Moving on, there is a very responsive display with the redesigned circuit array that holds the under-display camera. Likewise, there is a rectangular camera bump on the rear panel that houses three camera sensors and a LED flash. There are three color variants in the handset – Ceramic Black, Ceramic Silver, and Shadow Green Gray.

Performance and Memory

Powering the device is Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset based on a 5nm manufacturing process. It features an octa-core CPU with a maximum clock speed of 3.0GHz. On the graphics depart, there is Adreno 660 processor. Likewise, it runs on Android 11 on top of MIUI 12.5 at the software front.

As per memory, there are two RAM configurations of 8GB and 12GB. Both of them are LPDDR5x RAM teamed with 128/256/512GB of internal storage respectively. The UFS 3.1 resides for the internal storage and we are still unclear about whether we can expand it via microSD card or any means.

Camera

Talking about optics, the 108MP ISOCELL HMX resides as the primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). It is teamed up with an 8MP Periscope lens with 5x optical zoom and a 13MP ultrawide camera with a 120-degree field of view.

As mentioned earlier, there is a 20MP under-display selfie shooter. It can shoot 1080p videos at 30 frames per second while the back camera can record up to 8K videos at 24 frames per second. In addition, the back camera also shoots HDR10+ content.

Battery and Extras

Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 is mechanized with a medium 4,500mAh battery with massive 120W fast charging support. The brand also claims that it can juice up 0 to 100% in just 15 minutes. Similarly, if we use 50W fast wireless charging, it takes 28 minutes for a full charge. Moreover, it uses a USB Type-C port for charging.

5G (2.4/5GHz), Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and the infrared blaster are some other notable features of Mi MIX 4. There lies an Ultra-wideband (UWB) that precise the positioning of data and device controls. The Harmon/Kardon stereo speakers give an excellent sound experience.
