Google Pixel 6 Pro launched in the Global market

Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro is now official in the global market. They have the new custom Tensor System on a Chip (SoC). In this post, we will look at the specs, features, availability, and expected price of the Google Pixel 6 Pro in Nepal.

Google Pixel 6 Pro Overview

Display and Design

Starting with the design, Google Pixel 6 Pro flaunts a slightly curved 6.71-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with a 120Hz of dynamic refresh rate. It boasts 16 million colors with HDR10+ content. The screen gets its protection from Corning Gorilla Glass Victus at the front and back. This setup is embedded in a polished aluminum frame. Further, it has a 1440×3120-pixel capacity and the PPI density remains 512.

Google Pixel 6 weighs 210 grams and the dimension is 163.9×75.9×8.9mm. The device is also IP68 certified for dust or water resistivity. Google claims that it can resist up to 1.5m of water for 30 minutes. There are three color options available for the handset – Sorta Sunny, Cloudy White, and Stormy Black.

Performance and Memory

The new Pixel phone comes with Google Tensor System on a Chip (SoC) based on a 5nm manufacturing process. This has been the major highlight of this phone. It integrates an octa-core CPU which divides with two Cortex-X1 cores, two Cortex-A76 cores, and four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at the speed of 2.80GHz, 2.25GHz, and 1.80GHz respectively. Likewise, the graphics depart is handled by Arm’s Mali-G78 MP20.

As per memory, there are three configurations –12/128GB, 12/256GB, and 12/512GB. The memory is of UFS 3.1 and can not be expanded with a microSD card slot or anything. On the software front, it comes with Android 12 out-of-the-box.

Camera and Sound

Moving on to optics, there is a triple-camera setup at the back of the Google Pixel 6 Pro. There is a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.9 aperture and 1.2-microns pixel capacity. It supports omnidirectional PDAF, Laser AF, and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Another is a 12MP ultrawide lens with a 114-degrees field of view. It has 1.25 microns of pixel capacity. Lastly, there is a 48MP telephoto sensor with f/3.5 aperture and 4x optical zoom. The phone also features a Dual-LED flash while the cameras have the Pixel Shift, Auto-HDR, and panorama mode. The video support is up to 4K resolution with 30/60 frames per second. The video mode also has gyro-EIS and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).

Upfront, there is an 11.1MP selfie snapper with f/2.2 aperture and 1.22 microns pixel capacity. It can also shoot 4K videos at 30 frames per second. Further, there is a loudspeaker integrating stereo speakers. Unfortunately, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack.

Rest of the Specs

Fueling the device is a medium Li-Po 5,003mAh battery cell with a 30W fast charging capacity. It also supports 23W fast wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. Moreover, there is a USB Power Delivery 3.0 while the charging is done via USB Type-C 3.1. Likewise, there is an optical under-display fingerprint sensor for biometrics which also includes a software-based face unlock system.

Other sensors are an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and barometer. For connectivity, there is Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS (dual-band A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, QZSS, BDS), and NFC.

Google Pixel 6 Pro is now official in the Global market where its price is USD 999 for the 12/256GB version and if it ever launches in Nepal, its price should be around NPR 1,45,000. They have already started the sale in the US and Europe.
