Huawei has launched its very own Harmony OS 2.0 on 2^nd June along with multiple devices that feature the system. The launch event included the release of the Huawei MatePad Pro 11, 12.6, and 10.8. The MatePad Pro 12.6 is a flagship gadget competing with Samsung Galaxy Tab S-series and iPad Pro series. Design and Display

The Huawei MatePad Pro 12.6 features a 12.6-inch and 10.8 features 10.8-inch OLED display with 2560×1600pixel resolution. The 12.6 refreshes at 60Hz whereas the 10.8 refreshes at 120Hz under the same resolution.

Likewise, the Huawei MatePad Pro version 11 has a 10.95-inch LCD display with 2560×1600pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. These gadgets have an approximate screen-to-body ratio of 90%.

The bezels are cut down to 5.6mm which has the full coverage of the wide DCI-P3 color gamut. It is also individually calibrated for color accuracy. Besides these, there are packs TÜV Rheinland Full Care Display 2.0 alongside DC dimming and Delta E<0.5.

The color variations include Silver Frost, Matte Grey, and Olive Green.

Performance and Memory

The devices are packed with Harmony OS 2.0 which has many multi-task available features. It de-clutters apps in a redesigned home screen with dynamic app widgets in different sizes.

The 10.8-inch tablet gets a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 whereas 12.6-inch runs on Huawei’s own Kirin 9000E chipset. Similarly, the MatePad Pro 11 houses a Snapdragon 865 SoC. The latter is made more accessible and affordable for the students.

The Pro 11 had 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage. However, the other versions have 8GB RAM with either 128GB or 256GB of storage. The brand has claimed to boost 100% of the top 300 apps in landscape mode.

The tablets are bringing back the multi-screen collaboration system that allows you to mirror your phone’s display to the MatePad. We can mirror the device with other Harmony-OS devices such as TVs, laptops, and others.

The 12.6 and 10.8 versions have a triple camera setup with a 3D depth sensor whereas the 11 has a dual camera with the same sensor. The 11 has a 13MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and an 8MP ultrawide shooter with f/2.4 aperture.

The 10.8 and 11 versions are fueled with a 7,250mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging whereas 12.6 is packed with a 10,000mAh battery alongside 40W fast charging, 27W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

The devices feature a quad-speaker setup that has Harman/Kardon sound with four microphones that has a 5-meters range for a voice pick-up. They can work with the M-pencil stylus and smart magnetic keyboard as well.
