Looking at the launch price I wonder what will be OnePlus 8 Pro Price in Nepal. OnePlus secured its position in the smartphone industry as the flagship killer brand until the launch of OnePlus 5/5T. Finally, after all, bells and whistle, OnePlus 8 series are launched on April 14, 2020, despite the spread of COVID-19 virus. Ditching their tag of flagship killer, they have come up with a flagship device, “OnePlus 8 Pro”. The 8 Pro has finally inherited the left out specs like camera, wireless charging and IP rating. OnePlus 8 Pro Overview

You can see a lot of changes in OnePlus 8 pro, compared to its earlier model; with a block lettered text “ONEPLUS” at the back of the device with a change in the size of the logo. Although the design remains the same, they have added wireless charging along with IP68 rating, making it water and dust resistant. These two features were the most requested features by the users. OnePlus has dominated each of its competitor with its 30W fast charging feature. With the inclusion of quad-camera, you can see a major improvement in the camera department. OnePlus 8 Pro comes with a display of 6.78 inches Fluid AMOLED QHD+ panel with a fluid 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate, with HDR10+ support. But comparing it with the S20 series, this device is equipped with the same 120 Hz refresh rate on the highest resolution, which is an additional feature of this device. Standing out from the crowd OnePlus has included the MEMC (Motion Estimate Motion Compensation) chip on their devices, which helps to upscale low fps content to adapt to the phone’s 120fps or 60fps. Since the display is curved, it is more prone to accidental touch.

Camera

The camera provided by the device is a game-changer. Finally an OnePlus device with a quad-camera setup, Sony IMX689 48 MP sensor (Wide), IMX586 48 MP (Ultrawide), 8 MP (Telephoto), 5MP (Color Filter camera). In the world of 100x zoom, the telephoto camera is capable of 3x hybrid optical zoom and up to 30x digital zoom. The upfront punch hole cut-out houses a 16 MP Selfie camera, which gives decent selfies. Because the phone features both OIS+EIS, the video is stabilized. This device can be a good option for those who love shooting video using their smartphone because the phone features 3 high precision microphones that can capture better audio.

CPU & Performance

OnePlus is well known for the good performance of its smartphones. In that regard, this very device is powered by the latest flagship processor, “Qualcomm Snapdragon 865” and Adreno 650 GPU. For the storage options, you can go for either 8/128 GB or 12/256 GB with no storage expansion option. Also, if you are a gamer than OnePlus has some serious improvement in their vibration motor resulting in better haptic feedback. The phone runs on Android 10 out of the box which is topped off with near-stock Oxygen OS.

Battery

Under the hood, OnePlus 8 comes with a 4510 mAh battery. As we have already mentioned, 120 Hz display requires a lot of power so expect it to last for a day on moderate usage. But the legacy of fast charging has always been the fascination of OnePlus. Talking about charging, this device can charge from 0 to 60% within 30 minutes via wired charging and 50% within 30 minutes via wireless charging as per OnePlus.

Glacial Green, Ultramarine Blue, Onyx Black are the available colour option for the device.
