Oppo has launched a new series of smartphones – Find X5 in the European market. There are three phones in the series – Find X5, Find X5 Pro, and Find X5 Lite. Here, we will dig into the specs, features, availability, and the expected price of Oppo Find X5 in Nepal.
Oppo Find X5 Overview
Display and Design
The Oppo Find X5 sports a 6.55-inch AMOLED panel with Full HD+ resolution and HDR10+ contents. To note, the Pro version has an LTPO panel which is much more impressive. However, it also has a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. There is a typical brightness of 500-nits, HBM brightness of 800nits, and peak brightness of 1000nits. The screen gets its protection from Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. For a smartphone of this price range, it is a disappointment that there is no official IP rating.
The back panel of the device is also glass made but we are yet to know which kind. The design is like the Pro version, but the built material is ceramic on the Find X5 Pro. The glass has a matte finish which is also resistant to random fingerprints. The body weighs only 196 grams and measures 8.7mm in thickness. There are three color variations for the device – Black, White, and Purple.
Performance and Memory
Oppo Find X5 runs on Android 12 on top of ColorOS 12.1. It also supports the new “Multi-Screen Connect” feature. The chipset to power the system is a 5nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G. It has Adreno 660 graphics processor alongside an octa-core (1×2.84 GHz Kryo 680 & 3×2.42 GHz Kryo 680 & 4×1.80 GHz Kryo 680) CPU.
There are three memory configurations to choose from – 8/128GB, 8/256GB, and 12/256GB of UFS 3.1. You can no longer expand your internal memory because there is no place for a microSD card. Further, there is a vapor chamber cooling that keeps the temperature of the phone checked.
Camera and Audio
The handset has a triple camera setup whose primary sensor is a 50MP lens that has an f/1.8 aperture and 1.0-microns pixel capacity alongside multi-directional PDAF and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) support. The camera has a 6nm MariSilicon X chip and Hasselblad camera calibration. There is another 50MP sensor that falls under the ultrawide lenses category and has a 110-degree field of view and multi-directional PDAF. Both 50MP cameras are the Sony IMX766 kind. Lastly, the setup is completed by a 13MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. The rear camera has HDR and Panorama modes with LED flash for better night shots.
The front camera is a 32MP IMX615 shooter with an f/2.4 aperture with panorama mode but not an HDR. There is no RGBW filter on the front-facing camera. Moving on to the videos, the rear camera can shoot up to 4K videos at 30/60fps with the gyro-EIS. They are the 10-bit videos with HDR mode as well. Likewise, the video from the front camera is limited to 1080p at 30fps and gyro-EIS.
Oppo Find X5 has a loudspeaker system with stereo speakers. The sound quality is very excellent, and it enhances your user experience. On the contrary, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack.
Battery and Extras
Fueling the model is a Li-Po 4,800mAh non-removable battery with 80W SuperVOOC charging support. Likewise, there is a 30W AirVOOC charging which means the wireless charging is also fast enough. You can also use it for reverse wireless charging since it supports up to 10W. The charging here is done via USB Type-C 3.1 which can also be for PowerDelivery and USB On-The-Go.
For biometrics, the brand has gone with an under-display fingerprint sensor. You can also use the face unlock service. Other sensors are an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and color spectrum. The connectivity options are now listed out as Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS (A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, QZSS), and NFC.
