POCO has unveiled two new smartphones in the global market – POCO X4 GT and POCO F4 5G. Here, we will look at the former – POCO X4 GT with all its specifications, features, availability, and its price in Nepal. The device is the second installment of the X4 series from the brand and is rumored to be the rebranded Redmi Note 11T Pro from last month.

POCO X4 GT Overview

Display and Design

Beginning with the design, the POCO X4 GT brings a 6.6-inch IPS LCD screen with 1080×2460-pixels resolution. It also has a DCI-P3 coverage alongside DC Dimming, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision. Likewise, it boasts a 144Hz refresh rate teaming up with a 270Hz touch sampling rate. Then, the screen gets its protection from Corning Gorilla Glass 5. And to top it off, there are 500nits of typical brightness and 650nits of HBM.

The device has a flat edge design with round corners and a slight curve for a good grip. Further, there is a rectangular camera bump that holds the rear camera setup. The body weighs 200 grams and measures 8.9mm in thickness. There are three color options available for the model – Black, Blue, and Silver.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood, the device is driven with MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset based on a 5nm fabrication process. It integrates an octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A78 and four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at the speed of 2.85GHz and 2.0GHz respectively. The graphics depart here are handled by Arm’s Mali-G610 MC6 processor.

Over to the software front, the device boots on Android 12 on top of MIUI 13 for POCO. As per memory, there are two different configurations – 8/128GB and 8/256GB of UFS 3.1. This is an LPDDR5 RAM which gives you a good working device. Here, you can’t expand your internal storage since there is no slot for a microSD card. Moreover, for cooling purposes, the device brings a 7-layer heat dissipation structure. It keeps your chip cool for your enhanced experience.

Camera and Audio

Moving on, there is a triple camera setup with a 64MP primary lens with f/1.9 aperture, 0.8-pixel capacity, and PDAF support. It is then followed by an 8MP ultrawide sensor with 1.12-microns pixel capacity and a 120-degree field of view. Completing the setup is then a 2MP camera for macro shots. It can record videos up to 4K resolution at 30 frames per second accompanied by 1080p videos at 30/60fps.

Upfront, there is a 20MP selfie snapper with f/2.5 aperture and 1.0-microns pixel capacity. But unlike the rear camera setup, it is limited to recording 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. Furthermore, for audio, there is a loudspeaker system with stereo speakers that tunes out 24-bit/192kHz audio. It is also coupled with a 3.5mm headphone jack for music and calls.

Battery and Extras

Fueling the POCO X4 GT is a medium 5,080mAh battery with 67W fast charging that can charge from 0 to 100% in just 46 minutes. It also supports USB Power Delivery 3.0. For biometrics, there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner followed by a software-based face unlock. Other sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, gyro, compass, and color spectrum.

Lastly, some connectivity options list out as Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS (A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS), and a market-dependent NFC. In addition, you can also see the infrared blaster in the device.
