Samsung has done it again, this time with the Galaxy Note series. On 7th, August 2019 Samsung revealed its flagship device: Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ with a slightly new upgrade than S10 and S10+. Note 10 was recently launched in Nepal at a fairly good price.
Note series is well known for its powerful performance, big screen and a powerhouse that will last all day long with heavy usage. Both Note 10 and Note 10+ have similar kinds of specs but with extra money paid Note 10+ offers slightly new added features.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ Overview
The built quality of this phone is absolutely great. It feels premium on hand and the color choice of the phone is also great. This phone comes in 5 different color options: Aura Glow, Aura White, Aura Black, Aura Pink, and Aura Red. The phone has its front and back made up of glass and side within the Aluminum frame.
Note 10+ is the only model that has the facility of having a micro SD for external storage whereas Note 10 does not support that feature. There is a SIM tray at the top which supports dual SIM and a microphone. At the bottom of this device, there is the main microphone, a type C port for charging and transferring data, speaker grills and an S-pen.
“One of the main features missing on these devices is the availability of a 3.5mm headphone port. Thus the earphone provided with the device comes with type C connection.”
There is no doubt that these devices have the best display in the mobile market. Note 10 offers a 6.3 inch dynamic AMOLED screen whereas Note 10+ offers a 6.8 inch dynamic AMOLED screen both able to produce vivid colors and contrast that pleases us and provides a really nice experience while watching videos, playing games and surfing the internet as well. Both the devices have the feature of always-on display and are under Corning Gorilla glass protection.
Note 10 has a screen resolution of 1080*2280 pixels with a 19:9 aspect ratio. Also, it offers ~401 PPI density whereas Note 10+ has the screen resolution of 1440*3040 pixels with a 19:9 aspect ratio and it offers ~498 PPI density. The screens support HDR10+.like in the S10, there is an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor beneath the screen for unlocking the device and a camera at the top for taking selfies.
Both devices come with the latest Android version i.e. Android (9.0) with Samsung One UI and it is user-friendly. In Nepal, only the Exynos 9825 is available. It is a very power efficient 7nm chip and can easily our daily activities without any trouble. Both devices come with Octa-core CPU and Mali-G76 MP12 GPU which is really nice for the gaming experience.

Talking about the camera, these devices have one of the best cameras. Samsung Note 10 has a triple rear camera triple camera setup aligned vertically with LED flash. There is a 12MP wide lens (f/1.5-2.4), a 12MP telephoto lens (f/2.1) and a 16MP ultra-wide lens (f/2.2). in the case of Note 10+, there is an extra feature i.e. an additional lens for TOF(Time Of Flight) 3D VGA. With this extra lens, we are able to animate the real-world objects.
One of the interesting features on this device is that, while recording video it features a zoom-in mic feature which helps to reduce the noise and increase the sound quality from where the camera is focusing in the meantime.
It has both EIS (Electrically Image Stabilization) and OIS (Optically Image Stabilization) so the videos from these devices are super steady and can shoot video up to 2160p@30/60fps, 1080p@30/60/240fps, 720p@960fps. There is a single camera in front of the device. It is a 10MP (f/2.2) wide lens, featuring dual video call and can even take portrait photos. It can record videos up to 2160p@30fps and 1080p@30fps.
Note 10 only has an 8 GB RAM version while Note 10 plus gives you options to have 12 GB RAM as well. While we are still talking about differences, Note 10 does not come with an SD card slot while the Note 10 Plus does come with an SD card slot that can be expanded up to 512 GB.

- Samsung Note 10 plus: 12 GB + 256 GB storage
- Samsung Note 10 plus: 12 GB + 612 GB storage

The S-pen has various upgraded features than the previous generation. This time it comes with Bluetooth 5.0. has the accelerometer and gyroscope which allow us to control some of the features remotely.
We can take notes, switch between the modes in the camera, zoom in and out, and snap photos and many more features. They have also added the functionality to convert the S Pen written words directly to the text in doc file.
Battery & Charging
The huge 4,300 mAh battery allows the Note 10 Plus to last longer compared to 3,500 mAh battery provided in Note 10. Samsung claims that charging the Note10+ for 30 minutes is enough to last you through the day.
Note 10 blazingly fast charging speed can be seen with its 45W charger which is yet to be released. But for now, you can use their 25W charger that ships in the box which is capable of charging your device faster than wrap charger provided by OnePlus.
In this series of phones, Samsung has removed its power button from the right side as in the previous model and combined that power button with the Bixby button. So there are no buttons on the right side and the left side of the phone has volume buttons and Bixby buttons which can be also used as power buttons as well. And there is a soft key for the power button in the notification bar.
Note fans who look for a bigger size phablet for all your phone to computer needs, you will definitely go for Note 10 plus as its bigger and better in every aspect compared to Note 10. But if you have a preference for a comfortable sized and little lighter one Note 10 can be your cup of tea.
