The Chinese model Redmi K40 Pro+ has launched in Nepal as rebranded by Xiaomi Mi 11X Pro. With the recent POCO X3 pro, POCO F3, and Mi 11, the company has also brought in Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite and Xiaomi Mi 11X within 3-4 days. The Xiaomi Mi 11X Pro price in Nepal is under Rs. 70,000.

Design and Display

Xiaomi Mi 11X Pro features a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. This is a downgraded feature from the QHD+ display panel of Mi 11. However, the panel gets an A+ certification of Display Mate and boasts a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.  The peak brightness is 1300nits which is a very good offering. Additionally, the handset can change its color tone per the surrounding lighting.

The model is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both front and rear sides. The design has 7.8mm thickness and weighs approximately 196gm. Furthermore, it is IP53 water and dust-resistant. The color variants are – Cosmic Black, Lunar White, and Celestial Silver.

Performance and Memory

The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon SM8350 888 5G based on a 5nm chipset with 6^th gen AI engine. It is the same as the Mi 11 and most of the high-end Android devices from late 2020 and early 2021. Talking about software, it is based on Xiaomi’s own MIUI 12 alongside Android 11 OS.

The Octa-core (1×2.84 GHz Kryo 680 & 3×2.42 GHz Kryo 680 & 4×1.80 GHz Kryo 680) CPU works side-by-side with the Adreno 660 graphics processor. The memory has an 8GB RAM option with either 128GB or 256GB internal storage of UFS 3.1. However, it is not expandable because there is no support system for a micoSD card. Besides that, it also flaunts a liquid cooling technology to prevent over-heating.

Camera and Sound

Mi 11X Pro has a triple camera set up on the rear part. The highlight of the setup is a 108MP primary shooter with a 9-in-1 pixel binning tech to produce 2.1µm individual pixels. This was possible with the use of the Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor.

To complete the setup, there is an 8MP ultrawide lens with 119˚ viewing capacity ad a 5MP telephoto-macro sensor with f/2.45 aperture. Similarly, this phone has no support for Optical Image Stabilization.

Upfront, it houses a 20MP selfie camera with an f/2.5 aperture. The video support in the model is excellently crowd-pleasing. The back camera can shoot the video in 8K resolution at 30fps, 4K resolution at 30/60fps, and 1080p resolution at 30/60/120/240/960fps with gyro-EIS and HDR10+. However, the front camera supports 1080p resolution at 30fps and 720p resolution at 120fps.

Talking about the sound system, it has dual speakers with Dolby Atmos feature boasting Hi-Res 24-bit/192kHz audio. Unfortunately, this phone lacks the 3.5mm jack which leaves us with the option of Type-C headphones or wireless ones.

Battery and Extras

Mi 11X Pro is mechanized with a 4,250mAh battery which in my view is a little less since this is a high-end android phone. The handset supports 33W fast charging, Quick Charge 3+, and Power Delivery 3.0 protocol.

For biometrics, there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and face unlock system. Moving on to connectivity, the phone has support for 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and an Infrared blaster. The sensor, has an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, color spectrum, and barometer.

Xiaomi Mi 11X Pro price in Nepal is Rs. 70,000. Currently, it is considered the best phone for the price. The low-end variant and high-end variant have a difference of around three thousand.
