Realme GT Neo 3: A new Neo lineup with 150W UltraDart charging

Realme has been releasing the new installments on its Neo lineup in the Nepali market. The last one was Realme GT 2 Pro which is now succeeded by GT Neo 3 with 150W fast charging. To note, this is the first commercial smartphone with that high capacity charging speed. Here, we will dig into the specs, features, availability, and the official price of the Realme GT Neo 3 in Nepal.

Realme GT Neo 3 Overview

150W UltraDart Charging

The most notable feature of the Realme GT Neo 3 is the 150W UltraDart fast charging speed. There is a dual-cell 4,500mAh battery that uses the two parallel charge pumps that has a conversion rate of 98.5%. You can charge from 0 to 50% in just 5 minutes. There are 38 safety measures in the device that limits the temperature of the device up to 43° Celsius.

The battery stays with 80% of the original capacity even after 1,000 charging cycles. However, you can also get the 80W SuperVOOC charging with a 5,000mAh battery just in case you are not interested in the earlier one. The latter can charge the battery from 0 to 100% in just 32 minutes.

Performance and Memory

Powering the device is a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor based on a 5nm manufacturing process. Previously, its successor GT Neo 2 had Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset. The Dimensity 8100 is a “power-efficient” version of the Dimensity 9000. It integrates an octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A78 and four Cortex-A55 cores clocked at the speed of 2.85GHz and 2.0GHz respectively. Likewise, the graphics depart is handled by Arm’s Mali-G610 MC6.

Over to the software front, the device boots on Android 12 on top of Realme UI 3.0. Moreover, there are four different memory configurations – 6/128GB, 8/128GB, 8/256GB, and 12/256GB of UFS 3.1. Unfortunately, you can not expand the internal storage since there is no slot for a microSD card.

Cooling

Moving on, Realme GT Neo 3 has a nine-layer heat dissipation structure for cooling purposes. It helps to keep the core temperature of the device in check all the time. The structure comes with a VC heatsink, 3D graphite layer, and diamond thermal gel. The former is made from steel and copper with a surface area of 4129mm2. In addition, the heat dissipation area here measures 39606mm2.

Display

The new Realme GT Neo 3 sports a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The latter is controlled by an independent display chip that adds frames to scenes which will boost your game performance since it leads to a smooth screen while reducing power consumption.

Further, there is a 10-bit panel alongside a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. Above the screen, there is a center-aligned punch-hole cutout that holds the front-facing camera. The screen here gets its protection from Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Design

The body weighs 188 grams and measures 8.2mm in thickness. The rear panel of the handset has an AG Glass surface that provides a very comfortable grip. In addition, the panel is also resistant to possible fingerprint marks. You can see the model in three color options – Black, Blue, and Silver. The last two bring race track-inspired black stripes that move along the camera island and the Realme Branding.

Camera

Moving on to optics, there is a triple camera setup on the bump we have on the back panel. There is a 50MP primary lens of f/1.9 aperture, 1.0-microns pixel capacity, and support of Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Another is an 8MP ultrawide camera with a 120-degree field of view. Further, the setup is completed with a 2MP sensor for macro shots. The camera module also holds a Dual-LED dual-tone flash for better night shots.

Both front and back cameras have the support of gyro-EIS for the video shoot.

Audio

For audio, there is a loudspeaker system with Dolby Atmos-backed stereo speakers that supports 24-bit/192kHz audio. It also has X-axis linear speaker and an Omni-directional NFC. Moreover, there is a new antenna matrix for a more enhanced experience. However, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack for music and calls.

Realme GT Neo 3 ships with an under-display fingerprint sensor followed by software-based face unlocks. Other sensors include an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass.
