The phone weighs 210 grams while the dimension remains 162.5×76.7×8.5mm. The frame is made up of metal – aluminum while the back part of the phone is finished with AG glass. It also has physical magnetic pop-up triggers on the right frame. These are “Magnetic Shoulder Key 2.0” which are claimed to give us a similar feel to that of professional gamepads. There is an X-shaped pattern that looks very premium. The LED strips inside the camera module light up every time you receive a notification.

The last one is a Special Edition that was built in the collaboration with the Mercedes-AMG F1 team and has a grey finish. There is a difference in terms of design as well. Two stripes run along the middle of the rear panel and a Mercedes F1 logo resides on the top-right corner.

Performance and Memory

Powering the device is Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset as we can expect on a new generation gaming smartphone. This is a processor-based on 4nm fabrication process which integrates an octa-core (1×3.00 GHz Cortex-X2 & 3×2.50 GHz Cortex-A710 & 4×1.80 GHz Cortex-A510) CPU. Further, the graphics depart is handled by none other than Adreno 730 processor.

Cooling

There are dual vapor chambers covering an area of 4,860 sq. mm. These chambers transfer heat from the chipset, battery, and IC to its heat spreaders. Xiaomi claims to have 20% more efficiency than the last-gen here. You can also buy Redmi’s own metal heat dissipation magnetic shell which leads to even better thermal management.
