OnePlus has launched the first installment of the Ace series in the Chinese market. The phone brings a Dimensity 8100-MAX chipset and resembles Realme GT Neo 3 in many ways. In this post, we will talk about the specs, features, availability, and the expected price of the OnePlus Ace in Nepal.
OnePlus Ace Overview
Display and Design
OnePlus Ace starts at 8.2mm in thickness and weighs 186 grams. There are flat frames accompanied by round corners which are new for OnePlus. The device has a two-tone finish with a seam in the middle. Likewise, there is a square camera module with a triple camera setup that is arranged in a triangular form. There is a plastic frame that embeds a glass front protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is available in two color options – Black and Blue.

Further, the OLED screen here measures 6.7-inches with Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. It boasts 1B colors with HDR10+ contents that moves sideways with 500nits of typical brightness, 800nits of HBM, and 950 of the peak. It also covers 100% of the DCI P3 color gamut. Moreover, there is a 20:9 aspect ratio and 87.6% screen-to-body ratio.
Performance and Memory
Under the hood, the device gets its power from MediaTek Dimensity 8100-MAX. This is the same processor we saw in the OnePlus 10R. It is a 5nm chipset that integrates an octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A78 (@2.85GHz) and four Cortex-A55 (@2.0GHz) coupled with Arm’s Mali-G610 MC6 graphics processor. The latter boosts the frame rates which is helped by the HyperBoost feature that reduces frame drops and stutters. Moreover, there is the largest Vapor Chamber that has ever existed in a OnePlus phone.

Over to the software front, the OnePlus Ace boots on Android 12 on top of ColorOS 12.1. If the phone launches in the global market, it will have OxygenOS 12. Furthermore, you can have up to 12GB RAM coupled with up to 512GB of internal storage of UFS 3.1. You can’t even expand your internal storage because there is no card slot on the device.
Camera and Audio
Moving on, the phone has a triple camera setup with a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary lens. It has an f/1.9 aperture and 1.0-microns pixel capacity alongside the support for PDAF and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Likewise, there is an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and 120-degree field-of-view. Then, the setup gets complete with a 2MP camera for macro shots.

There is a 16MP ISOCELL S5K3P9SP front-facing camera for selfies and videos. It lies inside the punch-hole cutout above the screen and can record videos up to 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second. On the other hand, the rear camera can record up to 4K videos. However, both still support gyro-EIS. As per audio, there are stereo speakers for loudspeakers but no 3.5mm headphone jack for music or calls.
150W Charging
Fueling the device is a medium Li-Po 4,500mAh battery with 150W SuperVOOC fast charging. It can charge the device from 0-50% in 5 minutes and 0-100% in 17. OnePlus had also claimed the retention of 80% battery health even after 4-5 years. And to note that, the handset received TÜV certification as well. Moreover, the device also supports wireless charging and reverse wireless charging too.

Rest of the specs
Lastly, the phone features an under-display fingerprint sensor followed by a face unlock system. Other sensors include an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and color spectrum. In addition, the connectivity options list out as Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS (A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS), NFC, and USB Type-C 2.0.
