Huawei has dropped the price of the Huawei Band 6 after almost a year of its launch time. The price cut tends to reach around Rs. 3,000 since the old price was NPR 9,490 and the new price is NPR 6,990. In this post, we will discuss the specs, features, availability, and the new price of Huawei Band 6 in Nepal.

Huawei Band 6 Overview

Design

Huawei Band 6 is a fitness band that has a very different design than the other general fitness bands in the present market. This is mainly because of the 1.47-inch FullView AMOLED display which is the same size as the smartwatches these days. It has a 148% larger viewing area and 42% more screen-to-body ratio in comparison to the Huawei Band 4 Pro.

For Connectivity, the Huawei Band 6 has Bluetooth 5.0 which helps your device stay connected to your device. You can check your data via Huawei Health app which can be downloaded on a device with Android 6.0 or iOS 9.0 or above. Unfortunately, if you are using iOS devices, you will lack some of the features. For example, you can have the music controls if and only if you are paired to an Android device. Moreover, some features of the band will require you to run the EMUI properly to have their usage. The remote camera shutter is also exclusive to the devices with EMUI 8.1 or above.

We don’t know the battery capacity of the band, but it might be the 180mAh battery we previously saw in Honor Band 6. You can have 14 days of battery life in moderate use and around 10 days if heavy usage is done. You can have 2 days’ worth of battery with only 5 minutes if charging. Samsung Galaxy M53 5G: A new M-series installment

Samsung has finally launched a new smartphone – Galaxy M53 5G in its M-series lineup. It has now started its sale in the Indian market. After unveiling a series of smartphones in its A-series, it was finally time to start the M-series as well. The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G brings decent specs to the market and is estimated to have a good price in Nepal as well. Here, we will discuss the specs, features, and availability of the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G in Nepal alongside its expected price.

Samsung Galaxy M53 5G Overview

Design and Display

To begin with, the new Samsung Galaxy M53 5G features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution. It boasts a 129Hz refresh rate and 394 PPI density accompanied by 1080×2408-pixels resolution.

The design of the Galaxy M53 is like the other recent smartphones from the M-series. There is a redesigned camera bump that holds the rear camera setup. Likewise, the front-facing camera lies in a punch-hole cutout above the screen. It comes in two color variations – Green and Blue. The teaser poster was seen on Samsung Indonesia and looks a lot like last year’s Galaxy M62.

Performance and Memory

Under the hood, the system boots on Android 12 on top of One UI 4.1. It gets power from MediaTek Dimensity 900 5G chipset based on a 6nm manufacturing process. This is the replacement for last year’s Snapdragon 778G that we saw in Galaxy M52. It integrates an octa-core CPU with two Cortex-A78 and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at the speed of 2.4GHz and 2.0GHz respectively. Likewise, the graphics are handled by Arm’s Mali-G68 MC4.

As per memory, there are two configurations – 6/128GB and 8/128GB of eMMC 5.1. You can also expand the internal storage via a dedicated microSD card slot on the side of the device.

Camera and Audio

Over to the optical front, there is a quad-camera setup on the rear panel of the Galaxy M53. It is led by a 108MP primary sensor with an f/1.9 aperture and PDAF support. Then, it is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide lens whose field of view is yet to be known but has a 1.12-microns pixel capacity.

Further, the setup is completed with two 2MP lenses for macro and portrait shots respectively. Upfront, there is an 8MP selfie shooter with an f/2.2 aperture. Both front and back cameras can record videos up to 4K resolution at 30 frames per second.

As per audio, there is a loudspeaker system for clear sound. Unfortunately, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack for the device.

Rest of the specs

Moving on, there is a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. However, Samsung will not be including any charger in the box. It has Samsung Knox security coupled with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Other sensors include an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and Virtual Proximity Sensing. Moreover, there are connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth, GPS (A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS), and USB Type-C 2.0.

Realme C35: A new smartphone in the Realme C-series

Realme has introduced a new smartphone in C-series in the Nepali market. This is a budget phone with decent specs and has already started the sale here. Here, we will talk about the specs, features, availability, and the official price of Realme C35 in Nepal.

Realme C35 Overview

Display and Design

The new Realme C35 sports a 6.6-inch IPS LCD screen with the standard 60Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. It boasts 1080×2408-pixels capacity alongside a 20:9 aspect ratio and 401 PPI density. Further, there is a peak brightness level of 600nits.

The phone weighs 189 grams and embeds a dimension of 164.4×75.6×8.1mm. It is built from plastic as per the frame and back, but the front is made of glass. Unlike the other C-series lineups, this handset flaunts flat edges with round corners. There are two color options available for the model – Glowing Black and Glowing Green.

Performance and Memory

Samsung recently launched two new smartphones in the Nepali market – Galaxy M33 and A23. Both are budget smartphones from M-series and A-series respectively. In this post, we will dig into the specs, features, availability, and the official price of the Samsung Galaxy A23 in Nepal.

Samsung Galaxy A23 Overview

Design and Display

Samsung Galaxy A23 sports a 6.6-inch TFT screen with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080×2408-pixels. It boasts an 83.0% screen-to-body ratio and 400 PPI density. Above the screen, there is an Infinity-V notch that holds the front-facing camera. The display gets its protection from Corning Gorilla Glass.

The device has a very trendy-looking design like its predecessor Galaxy A22. Likewise, the frame that embeds the plastic back and glass front body is also made up of plastic. It measures 8.4mm in dimension and weighs 195 grams only. It is available in four color options – Black, White, Peach, and Blue.

Performance and Memory

The device is rumored to get its power from Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor based on a 6nm fabrication process. We have estimated this after since we know there will be an octa-core (2.4GHz + 1.9GHz) chipset. However, we are yet to know what the processor in the phone will be. On the software front, the phone boots on Android 12 on top of One UI 4.1.

There are four memory configurations available for the phone – 4/64GB, 6/64GB, 6/128GB, and 8/128GB of eMMC 5.1. Among these, only the 4/64GB and 6/128GB memory options are available in the Nepali market. You can also expand the internal storage via a dedicated microSD card slot on the side of the device.

Vivo has now launched a new smartphone Vivo Y01 following the other two recently launched smartphones – Y33s and V23 5G. Among these models, the Y01 is the one with the lowest price range. Here, we will look at the specs, features, availability, and the official price of the Vivo Y01 in Nepal.

Vivo Y01 Overview

Display and Design

Beginning with the design, the Vivo Y01 brings a plastic frame that embeds a glass front and a plastic back. Here, the back has a 3D curve and features some textured stripes that make the phone looks very aesthetic. The body weighs 178 grams and measures 8.3mm in thickness. You can see it in two color options – Elegant Black and Sapphire Blue.

Vivo has launched two new smartphones on top of the Vivo V23 5G in the Nepali market. One of them is Vivo Y33s 4G and we expect the 5G version to launch in Nepal soon as well. Here, we will talk about the specs, features, availability, and the official price of Vivo Y33s in Nepal.

Vivo Y33s flaunts a 6.58-inch IPS LCD panel with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080×2408-pixel capacity. It has a screen-to-body ratio of 90.6% and an aspect ratio of 20:9. iPhone SE (2022): A new Apple installment with a familiar design

Apple announced the new iPhone SE (2022) via its “Peek Performance” a few weeks back. It brings Apple’s in-house A15 Bionic chipset alongside a familiar design. So, we are going the discuss the specs, features, availability, and the official price of the iPhone SE (2022) in Nepal.

iPhone SE (2022) Overview

Design and Display

Beginning with the design, it looks like last year’s Special Edition iPhone. There are eyesore bezels on the top and bottom in which the latter holds the home button integrated with Touch ID support. Both front and back of the phone are made up of glass which is “the toughest glass on a smartphone” according to Apple. We are yet to know if it’s the “Ceramic Shield” but it is IP67 rated against water and dust resistance. There are three color options available: Black, White, and Red.

The LCD screen here measures 4.7-inch which is the same size as SE 2020 and iPhone 8. The display has a fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating and Ion-strengthened glass with a Wide color gamut and True-Tone. Likewise, the typical brightness here is 625nits and couples perfectly with the 750×1334-pixels resolution.

A15 Bionic Chip

The new iPhone SE 2022 brings the A15 Bionic Chip which we saw earlier in the iPhone 13-series as well. It is a silicone chipset with a 6-core CPU that divides into two performance cores and four efficiency cores. Then, it couples with a 4-core graphics processor. To top it off, a 16-core Neural Engine is going on with 15.8 Trillion Operations Per Second (TOPS).

The phone boots on its latest iOS 15 and ships in three storage configurations – 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. It also has 5G connectivity with a sub-6 GHz band instead of the 5G mmWave bands.

Camera and Audio

Under the hood, there is are two cameras; two on each side – rear and front. At the back, there is a 12MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture that supports PDAF and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). There is a Quad-LED dual-tone flash for better night shots as well.

Further, the selfie camera is a 7MP lens with an f/2.2 aperture. The rear camera can record up to 4K videos at 24/30/60 frames per second followed by 1080p at 30/60/120/240 frames per second with HDR modes, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), and stereo sound. Likewise, the front camera limits videos up to 1080p resolution at 30/120 frames per second with gyro-EIS.

Over to the audio front, there is a loudspeaker system with stereo speakers. Unfortunately, the device also lacks the 3.5mm headphone jack for music or calls. You will have to manage with wireless earbuds and headphones.

Battery

We are unknown to the actual battery capacity of the iPhone SE 2022, but Apple says you can have 15 hours of video playback time which corresponds to 50 hours of audio. It also supports Qi wireless charging but doesn’t have Magsafe. You can charge it via a 20W adapter that charges 0-50% in around 30 minutes only. However, you will have to buy the charger separately since Apple doesn’t include one in the box.

As mentioned earlier, there is a touch ID integrated into the home button. Other sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, gyro, compass, and barometer. You can also see the Siri natural language commands and dictations as we saw with the other iPhones.
